I'm obese, 5'8, and weigh about 260 pounds.
I've lost 35 pounds so far, and still have a big journey ahead of me.
Anyways, ever since i was a little fat boy i went to the doctor, and they would always warn me about being fat, because it could lead to high blood pressure when i'm older, and high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. I'm 19 years old right now, and have I finally decided to start exercising this summer. It's the farthest i've ever taken this. I immediately got into weight-training, and have been doing HIIT (high intensity interval training). Run for 1 minute at 7 miles per hour, then rest for another minute (3.3 mph); and so on for 10-15 minutes. Anyways, I have no problem doing this. I recently got my yearly check up/physical and doctors said you have good blood pressure, and good cholesterol. I was on Facebook and some normie-fuck ripped chad posted a status saying that all fat people are unhealthy and he has no respect for them, and everyone should be encouraged to lose weight. I'm really at a stand point. I googled why being fat/overweight was so unhealthy and I found this website; http://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/health-topics/weight-control/health_risks_being_overweight/Pages/health-risks-being-overweight.aspx
Since i don't have type 2 diabetes; high blood pressure; and high cholesterol i'm really confused. This basically crosses out everything here that im at risk for. Maybe being fat when your older is the problem?
I have a healthy mind, I have been meditating 3-5 times a week for the past year. So explain to me, R9K, why i'm so unhealthy?

No joint pain, and i don't get winded from climbing stairs. I have a go-get-shit-done attitude that recently developed because of my meditation sessions, and have to terms with my obesity. Plus, i shower everyday.

tl;dr
>im obese as fuck
>don't have high blood pressure
>don't have type 2 diabetes
>don't have bad cholesterol
>normie on facebook post 'alll fat people are unhealthy'

pls no bully
>>

You will eventually get all those things. You're still very young, but as you age they will obliterate you.

You need to lose the weight like you are doing right now. Drop it down to 160 lbs.

You've already fucked yourself for life by growing up fat. It's your parents fault. They didn't care about you. Your bone structure and skin are permanently fucked. You also most likely have lower testosterone because fat leads to esteogen.

>I have a healthy mind, I have been meditating 3-5 times a week for the past year. So explain to me, R9K, why i'm so unhealthy?

Meditation is a tool, senpai. If all you're doing is using it to justify your addiction to food then you're doing it wrong.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. I cut soda out last year, and cut videos games 2 years ago. So i pretty much do my work, live in my dorm, and my dorm-mates are my friends so I'm in here everyday with them. I hit the gym 3-4 times a week. But do you think it's fair to call someone like me unhealthy?
>>24827588
I've done my research; and my bone structure, if i put off this weight, will be many times stronger than a typical skinny-guys. Weight-training will help reduce the skin stretchy-ness by packing muscle, bones will stronger than the average mans because of the weight i've had to handle all my life. Plus, reading online from different testimonials from individuals who've actually lost weight say that it may take up to 1-2 years to get your skin to shrink back.
>>
I'll be straight with you. You're almost certainly fucked. Odds in obese man ever returns to a healthy weight is about 1 in 210.

Don't get fat kids.

I am not using it as a tool to justify the addiction to food I have.I have come to terms with it. I stopped eating more than 1900 calories a day for the past 3 months, and exercise regularly. I even record all the food I have in myfitnesspal online food-intake journal. I've conquered the mind senpai. I used to be addicted to soda, but i just stopped drinking it daily. I wouldn't say my addiction is cured, but i've learned to deal with it. Last time I drank one was about 3 months ago when I had take out with my friends. And before that, about 5 months ago. It's not something I really think about anymore.

>>24827687
I am the 1 in 210 of those statistics you have presented. I can do this, and have been doing it for the last couple months. I've realized i can't always eat perfectly, but I sure as hell can limit the calories i have per day. What I've done is have some sort of pig out day once a month on pizza. I've had 3 pig out days so far since I started taking this seriously. I was in a-bit of shock when I ordered the 1st pizza and was not able to finish it and enjoy because in the back of my mind, weight loss was a main-priority. So since my third pig out day, I've decided to stop. This isn't a diet anymore, it's a lifestyle change. I even was looking into raw-food diets. But I still have a lot to learn about it before I decide to jump on that bandwagon.

You will never look good in clothes though. Your facial structure is also messed up by lowering your testosterone during puberty. Strength matters much less than physical appearance.

You've got a .004% chance. And, going by your original post, you're delusional.Forgive me if I'm not optimistic.

In logistic regression models adjusting for age, smoking, and physical activity, increased risks for diabetes were observed in the normal weight with metabolic syndrome (odds ratio 3.28), overweight without metabolic syndrome (OR 3.49), overweight with metabolic syndrome (OR 7.77), obese without metabolic syndrome (OR 11.72), and obese with metabolic syndrome (OR 10.06) categories compared with the normal weight without metabolic syndrome category.

Doctors are full of shit, jew-money-grubbers. It's proven. You can't trust doctors or hoes. If you go to a clinic that sells boob-implants, you're sure as hell going into a clinic that is trying to sell you two milk bags. If you later decide it's not for you, you're sure as hell the doctor will try and convince you with some sob story about how another one of their patients had those thoughts, but later reclined, and went through with the procedure. Same with a medical-marijuana clinic. You're sure as hell going to get a medical marijuana card if you show up, and say your knee hurts, and you can't sleep. If you pay those $100 then it's yours.
>>
>>24827784

You're a fucking moron. A couple months of healthy living doesn't compensate for a lifetime of abuse. You might be on your way to being healthy but you don't magically fix all the fucked up stuff you've done to your body by eating well for a few months.

You might feel more at home on tumblr. You can hang out with the fat chicks and tell each other about how you can be healthy no matter how much you weigh.
>>
Fat people are not only fat, they're stupid.
>>
>>24827877
>doctors are full of shit, jew-money-grubbers

so are fat activists and more importantly processed food giants

and most importantly of all, the science behind doctors warnings about being fat is solid--and the fact that they get no money from telling your fat ass to eat less and move more should really speak to their reliability in this case
>>
I mean, have you ever seen a fat ass try and climb a flight of stairs? I don't think you have to exactly be an MD to know it's unhealthy.
>>
>>24827835
I oddly enough am not as autistic as the rest of us in this board. Even though i'm big I get complemented by some of my friends for my fuccboi style. I have never personally seen myself as ugly and what not, and i really like the view of my face. The only thing I don't like about myself is when the clothes come off.
>>24827837
I'm not delusional to the slightest. You don't need to be optimistic, because I already am senpai.
>>24827852
I've been fat for well over 13 years of my life. I've read studies, and have yet to see these fat-people diseases. I'm a very active person, and have been for the past year, and couple years.
>>24827932
I'm not excusing myself for letting myself go, but even then I wasn't too bad with what I ate, and what my parents fed me. Just over-eating desu-senpai.
I am actually against trumblerina whales, I know they aren't healthy. I am speaking for myself and how I don't have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes.
>>24827945
Stupid isn't the right word here fella. You have to open your mind and take everything with a grain of salt. Academically, I am intelligent, as-well as street-smart. Square up nigga
>>24828005
I realize that, and accept your comment because it's true. I stopped purchasing as much processed foods as I did a couple years back i.e; chips, crackers, snacks. I see where you're coming from.
>>24828045
I climb three flights of stairs easily. I even race my friend who's a couple inches taller. It's because I've become used to climbing stairs every time I go out. I don't get winded, and what you might expect people to get who are fat. You don't have to be an MD to know it's unhealthy/dangerous when someones arm comes off. I see what you're saying but not every fat person is the same desu-senpai.

60 lbs lost this year, boys, twenty left. From Obese class II, to obese I, to overweight, to 20 lbs from normal. Normies can get fucked, .004% checking in. Normalfags are too satisfied with their life and gfs to make this change. They don't know the self-hatred that fuels you to reduce yourself as much as you can, so that there is less of you to hate.

Thanks I appreciate that. All my family and friends are supportive of my decision, and where egging me on before i even decided to take this journey. Getting your shit together mentally is what I would have done first. But so far from what I've seen it's the opposite. People who have lost weight gain confidence, and self-interest, and love when the weight comes off.

I don't go to a gym, I have a 35 lb dumbell I do free weight exercises with, then do situps and pushups as a supplement for higher intensity workouts. I... am scared of going to the gym, honestly.

I don't usually leave my apartment, even, unless I go to work/grocery store.

Bodily health is an extremely complex issue and the fact that you think you can claim perfect health despite being obese simply because you don't have a few indicators of poor health just shows how little you understand.

>I am actually against trumblerina whales
You are exactly the same as them.

Fat people don't understand what a normal, healthy body is capable of. This guy says he's been fat for over a decade. He has no memory of what it's like to be healthy. He doesn't realize how incredibly shitty he feels all the time because it's normal for him.

Now that he's started treating his body a bit better and is feeling much better as a result, he thinks he's got it all fixed. He's amazed at being able to do things like walk up a few flights of stairs without being out of breath because he doesn't know any better. If you dropped a healthy person into this guy's new, "healthy" body, they'd be fucking miserable. The delusion is incredible.

OP ask your doc your question and he would have told you the answer. Here's how this works- you don't have those diseases right now because you're fucking 19. Your body is unhealthy as fuck and rather than living to be 90 and being active the whole time you'll get hypertension when you're 25, diabetes when you're 28, maybe have your first stroke or heart attack by 45. You might get diabetes before then as well, leading eventually to amputation of multiple toes. You'll live for another 15 years in a wheelchair at an old folks home because all of your health problems.

It's like you got a new car and never change the oil. You drive for 15,000 miles and have no problems, maybe changing oil is for suckers? What you don't see is the massive wear on the inside of the engine that will make your car seize at 30,000 miles instead of driving for 250,000 if you had performed proper maintenance. Don't be a retard, OP.

Bahaha, I can run a mile in under 10 minutes, usually 8-9 depending if i'm hydrated enough. For a big person, that's what I feel really good about. In high school P.E. class took me 17 minutes to jog/walk a mile. Teacher would be so pissed at me, giving me this stink eye because i'd be the last one done. Devilish.

>>24828352
Haven't even fully begun, so those stats don't apply to me. 35 pounds is nothing, compared to what i'll be by the summer time if I keep this up. I do believe I am narcissist. It's funny you point that out.
>>24828418
I'm doing this thread because i'm procrastinating studying for my CS final.
I have never really felt fat and different until high school. I lived in a small town so everyone knew each other, and I had good friends growing up. This distinction of fatty-me really started kicking in at high school and my first two years of college. I'm ready to over-come what I've done to myself. I don't believe mass replying to be autistic on any level. And I try to be on point with my grammar, took English 201 last year, and easily passed with an A.
>>24828447
I hope you realize that I'll probably come up with something on the spot too. I have a fast working brain. If in public at night, then I'd say square up. It's not that I'm trying to be an e-thug, it's just how i was brought up. The streets raised me.

Measured my dick the other day and was surprised to find out it's actually above average. I'll look forward to that in a couple months. 6 inches by 6 inches of girth, I'm not lying. I even thought it was small until I measured it. Had a nice chat with my bro about that and he said it's because of the porn we watch and assume big dicks are the norm.
