You can't always make people believe you or understand genders. But if you put your foot down about people treating you poorly they will hopefully shape up. I think most robots would agree that keeping all of your unhappiness and craziness inside is unpleasant, but it's better than hurting the people you care about.
It's easier and less painful to project your craziness onto others and never blame yourself for your own bullshit if you lack the ability to truly care about how others feel. I suspect that most women, particularly damaged women, lack that ability.
I think we're also kind of raised to be these special snowflakes that ought to be protected or treated like princesses when obviously the world doesn't work that way.
