Remember when gas was $4+ a gallon?
it's still equivalent to 8USD per gallon. luckily diesel is only like 7.5 dollars
t: eurofag
Just filled up Premium for 2.23$/gallon.
Feels good. Those are like early 2000s prices.
>>24793450
No because I'm not from California.
>filled up for 1.69 a GALLON last Tuesday
>tfw you will never see 99c gas like from the late 90s.
Oh well at least we'vee beat $1.99 per gal
>>24794587
I remember fondly those times when gas was only 1 euro per liter
that must've been 13 years ago
>>24794619
I think a gallon is like 4 litres though
>>24793450
It still is 4+ a gallon
Did prices go below 4$ where you live?
>>24794691
Not him but its $1.79 where I live and those are median prices. I'm sure if I drove around long enough I could find a place where it was a buck fitty.
>>24793450
1.79 over here in new jersey, zip is 07874
>>24794619
4euros/gallon
lol
>>24793450
East Texas over here, petroleum capital of the lower 48. If you know the right places in town you can go for $1.60/gal every time
I guess I'm spoiled being from here though, even in 2012 I would pay a bit above $3/gal

sucks living in yurop
vehicles and fuel are taxed to hell
>>24794761
>>24794716

That's isis oil your using
i live in alaska and in 2004 gas was 7 dollars/gal
>have quite a long drive to work
>make minimum wage
>manager doesn't give me hours
>once taxes are accounted for and gas, I'm actually not making enough money to justify going to work
>>24794787
>implying Saudis aren't worse than isis
>>24793450
It never broke past $3.99/gallon here in Texas, at least not long enough that I remembered.
>mfw I was driving a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with an LT1
>mfw I was delivering chinese food in it at the time
>mfw I barely got 13mpg city
Now I drive a 1994 Ford Bronco and get 9mpg and pay $1.70/gallon.
>gallon
>mfw driving a 1.3 liter 75hp shitbox and petrol is fucking expensive
sucks being an europoor
>>24794409
1.64 in SC
driving is for normies, get out
>Tfw $1.91 here in MA
Thank you jesus.
>going 40 miles for a buck eighty something
it'd be really nice if only I had places I wanted to go
>>24794815
Don't be dumb, there's no way you spend 50 dollars in gas for every day you drive to work. I have to commute 30 minutes to work and back so I know these feels.
>>24794787
>US
>Middle East oil
lol no, we are being flooded with oil from fracking, we don't need any oil from other coutnries, Europe is the biggest importer of oil from the middle East
$1.899/gallon here in Tampa, FL
>>24794921
Oh shit, a fellow SC-bot.
http://www.gasbuddy.com/GasPriceMap
what's the highest and lowest prices you can find /r9k? I saw $2.92 in CA and $1.60 seems to be the lowest
To be honest, its a little mixed feeling. Cheapo gas is nice for everybody, but it put me and bunch of other recent grad Petroleum Engineers out of a job.
I blame shitty oil industry practices that demand $100 barrels to in order to be profitable.
Now I work for the government and make less than an industry engineer.
>>24795253
check out Aspen, CO, I see $3.30 a gallon there for some reason, I'm guessing it's a ski resort?
>>24794787
this. also Saudi oil, which may as well be ISIS oil
I think things were better when gas was more expensive, people drove less and more cautiously. now the roads (at least here) are chock full of SUV wielding maniacs, who when they aren't changing lanes/turning without signaling or going at insane speeds are stopping in the middle of the road or parking in bike/bus lanes. if I designed a city, downtown would be bike/pedestrian/public transit only, entering the inner suburbs by car would cost $15, and parking anywhere but your own garage/driveway $10/hr
>>24795253
i pay 2.89 i live in socal.
>Not living in London, the place with the highest cost of diesel in the world.
I pay like 1.45 a litre which is like 8 a gallon which is the same as $14 a gallon.
H-he, k-k-keep up USA
>>24795325
holy fuck
at least in my euroshitstan country diesel is like $5.5
>>24795200
You are mostly wrong. OPEC is reason for the oil price crash. The middle east has huge reserves of oil that they used to keep off the market to keep the price up. When shale oil started to becoming a thing OPEC flooded the market. Sand niggers can deal with it because they easily increase the amount of oil they sell to keep up the money flow. US based petroleum can't easily increase the production without investing shit tons into more wells, which they don't have the capital to do. Also the reduced oil price causes wells to take decades to break even.
The goal was the make shale oil a non profitable venture. If shale oil is allowed to take hold the US will become an oil exporter and not an importer. The biggest oil customer becoming a competitor is not good for sand niggers.
>>24795325
you live in London, why the fuck are you driving?
>>24793450
When I lived in Alaska it got to $5 for a little while, last time I was up there it was around $4.10
>>24795395
The US does not import it's oil from the middle east, it gets the majority of it from Canada and Mexico. So the post that we are using ISIS oil is factually incorrect.
>>24795429
Correct, but oil is a world commodity. The price of oil was influenced by OPEC.
>>24794921
wtf I live near Charleston and I haven't seen it below 1.75
>>24795242
2spoopy
These gas prices are based, maybe I'll go on a road trip, it takes only $35 to fill up my tank instead of over $60. I can go about 450 miles on one tank if I'm on a highway, why not?
>>24795300
>tfw my dream car free city will probably never be built
>>24793450
It was never that expensive where I live. It's like $1.70 here in GA currently.
>>24793491
This. It's absurd how expensive gas is here.
