no, the userbase and topic of /b/ is so vastly different

It's more like /adv/ but with more memes
>>
/b/ are mostly underaged normie faggots who think acting edgy makes them look cool.

>It's more like /adv/

This is what I oringinally assumed, and it is starting to become true, but the native userbase couldn't be more different.

Good /r9k/ (pre summer 2015) generally was red pilled on women

/adv/ is full of kekolds who advocate 'giving the relationship another chance' and 'who cares if you're not the biological child'
>>
>>24792917
I'm not a virgin. I'm new here though.
>>
It's pretty similar but I'd say 10 - 35% of /r9k/ actually have pretty legitimate depression issues, mental or social problems.

We're not as big as /b/ either. /b/ is infested with Facebook, Tumblr, and Reddit users.

We have similar ad hominems though.

>you're a newfag who came here to get funny greentext stories!
>no man I swear I've been here since 1999

>you're a Redditor who came here to get funny greentext stories
>no man I swear I've never even been on Reddit

If you can't tell, a majority of /b/ users are incredibly new. As with /r9k/, a majority of users are also Redditors.

Denial and lies are very common on both boards.

I'd say, pre 2015.
>>

Not him but I don't know about that either man. I've been on 4chan since about 2012 or 2013. I'd say this board has increased in quality just a bit since the robot came back. Before that it was shit posting 24/7. You also had to remember when rare Pepes were a thing. It was fucking terrible. I don't think it really matters how long somebody has been here but the quality of their posts.

An oldfag who shit posts is just as bad as a newfag.

A newfag who posts good content, etc. is just as good as an oldfag.

But that's my opinion.

Been on the site since 2012, 2013. I know there's gonna be people that say it was better "back in my day", but I think that everyone's early days are better.

I did notice the quality of posts going up on /r9k/ since the robot was reenabled. I also noticed a lot more frogs being posted on other boards.

I guess because it's a new experience. When I first got on 4chan I looked through /b/, /mu/, /pol/, and /vr/. All of them were and are still shit (except for /vr/, it's generally a good board). I will say /b/ got even more popular which made it a bit worse but it was bad when I was on it. /mu/ and /pol/ are exactly the same. They just latch onto new albums and political issues. The culture is still the same on both of them. On /mu/, most people are pretentious faggots. On /pol/, most people are racist faggots. You can barely have a good conversation on either of them.

Original text is a God send. You know, I don't really hate Pepe. I've used him before in posts. Sometimes he's a good reaction image. But when you make an image into a meme it becomes unbearable. Don't build a "culture" around internet images. Every fucking memer is a goddamn faggot.
>>
>>24793659
Is it just me or is there a lot, A LOT, more porn on /b/ nowadays? I personally blame the fappening and all the faggots that come here because of news coverage.

>Every fucking memer is a goddamn faggot.
This is personal blog tier shit, but I want to get it out. My parents are old but they hang out with people a several years younger than them, and as a result, I have to deal with a whole bunch of kids as well.
Last month, we were invited to this big party type thing, and we ended up going. As usual, I was stuck with the dudes between 14 and 18. This one faggot comes up to me and starts spouting memes up the fucking ass, nigger's going left and right about steal beams and jet fuel, literally saying the word "kek/lel" instead of laughing, talking about pepes and how he's a "memer" and shit. Basically the most obnoxious motherfucker I'd ever seen. He sounded like he just found /b/ a month ago, so I told the guy, "I bet you use 4chan in school too" and the guy gets a horrified look on his face and says "4chan? I never go there man, I heard it's filled with child porn and stuff".
I don't know what I'm trying to say here, all I know is, people like him exist, and they exist en masse. I guess I want to know, how would you react to this kind of shit?
>>
>>24792917
I would say /r9k/ is what /b/ graduates to when they hit twenty and realize pretending on the internet impresses nobody.
>>
>>24794038
I openly tell them to fuck off. Every time a person is like "look at this meme I found off of 9gag, Reddit, etc." I tell them it's gay as hell. I've dealt with 2 people who were actually like that irl. I told them to stop being faggots. Of course, being typical memers, they were hardcore retarded left wingers who couldn't handle a joke towards a minority and they started bitching. So I kept on. Just tell them to fuck off man. That's all you can do.
>>
>>24794179
or for those who get bored of /b/.

I came here when I heard that this place was Old /b/ 2.0. That was a filthy lie.
