Yes it's likely the anime and weaboo infections that causes so many people to completely ignore how ugly most Asian are and settle for 5/10 girls when they could absolutely do better if they stuck to their own race. The biggest cause which often gets ignored is the fact that the vast majority of Asians, male and female, have white fever and having a woman desire you like that is a pretty strong lure for most of the betas who end up dating Asians. If white girls showed the same level of attention to white guys then aw/wm relationships would probably be pretty rare desu.
