I'm not that anon, but my mother personally is fucking awful. She's kicked me out of the house numerous times in middle and high school for little to no reason except her having a manic episode (bipolar), and constantly publicly humiliates and scrutinizes my flaws whenever she is around.
I'd give 1 million to my brother, buy my parents a nice house and allow them to retire to do whatever they wanted which I would fund. My closest two friends would get 500k each and we'd live in a dank man-child pad together. The rest would go into an investment portfolio.

I wouldn't give anyone any cash, but I would buy a bunch of land, and give everyone a tiny house or trailer to park on my land, so they could all live somewhere, rent free. Or one giant house that we all live in, like an old southern plantation manor.
Of course, they'd have to tend the land, on which I intend to raise various crops and animals for subsistence, as well as pot for cash. Vegetable garden and chicken coop would be for eating, pot crops would be to have an income for future home repairs and whatnot, while the rest of the lottery winnings would sit in a bank for my future children to inherit.

You didn't take into account tax, also inflation. If I won $20M I'd probably hit up the property game for maybe two or three cycles, after discussing with my real estate professional uncle. After I'm done and bored with that, I'd probably retire, I guess. Toss it into a very, very diverse portfolio and adjust my spending based on inflation periods.
I've been told that if you were to win the lottery or inherit a windfall you're not supposed to just hand out money but open a trust worth however much you want to give away and if a family member wants some of it they can talk to the lawyer in charge of the trust and state their case. So if it's for something legitimate like paying for school then OK they can have some but if it's for parties and gaming computers then no.
