There needs to be some kind of other distinction. By the pop psychology definition of an introvert as somebody who needs to "recharge" after socializing, almost everybody could be considered an introvert to some degree.

Not defending this specific case here but sometimes the introversion doesn't really show. I am quite social but also introverted, which means I have to plan my daily schedules around it. While most of my friends' plans consist of the dichotomy "studying/working" and "free time with friends" I have to separate "free time" and "with friends" because being social drains a lot of energy and without breaks I get tired and anxious. I'm basically projecting. I consider myself introverted because I find it difficult to navigate social situations and because I'm too afraid of putting myself out there. I'm scared to be judged. But where does this fear come from? I don't believe for a second that it's the world's fault, I firmly believe I am afraid because failure would hurt my ego.
I'm not an egoist at all. I always share and help out anyone in need even if I don't necessarily like the person. So externally I don't consider myself selfish at all, whereas a lot of normies (who are "extroverts" usually) are pretty selfish in their actions. Internally, however, I extremely dislike being hurt on a personal level whereas most normies would get angry, complain, and then forget about it and keep trying shit.
