With the internet you can basically teach yourself the contents of a university degree using scanned textbooks, recorded lectures, forums, etc. in a quarter of the time. There are unlimited resources for language learning and there is always an online community dedicated to even the most niche hobbies and interests. Currently unemployed but for the brief few years I had a reliable income, despite the job eventually breaking me into a series of panic attacks and stints of suicidal depression -just don't handle people- the free time I had after work and on weekends was basically the high point of my life. I could afford to buy things related to my interests and pour time and effort into them.
Sex and especially a stable relationship is vastly overrated. Just have a look at the divorce rates in America: relationships today just don't work, not when women are basically raised and sustained by government assistance in every aspect of their lives, even then all they need is some stupid white knight to fund their lifestyles. She will never really love you for who you are and unless you are into fucking loose sluts, trying to get caught up in the relationship game past the teen years is really a matter of balancing up whether or not you want to deal with the shit and expenses.
Some people live off one night stands but it involves being part of a social scene a lot of people don't care for.
