Would I be an idiot to not just do it? I've already spent the ENTIRETY of 2015 researching universities, telling my mother that I'm going to university any month now(planned on attending a community college on a quarter system out of state just so that I could move out, planned on using loans but was not eligible and plan fell apart). This is really my chance if I ever had one, but am I being delusional on whether or not this is actually a good idea? I would hopefully be given some financial aid next semester to bring down the cost to maybe ~$9,000 a semester. I really have no idea.

If you live in PA, having a PSU degree is the best advantage you can have over other college normies, and you're going to have 2-3 years of debt knocked off on top of it. My uncle is a financial planer who graduated from there. Of the many people he works with, some of those are people who hire for companies, and he said that if it came down to a choice between close applicants, the PSU stamp almost always wins. It's just a thing here in PA, though.
I'm planning on transferring to the Berks campus in an year or two because I've been told they have a great physics team there, and if I can get food recommendations, it will. Make grad school that much easier.
