It's why you have to develop a taste for it, just like they say, because it's not just an old saying, you're being exposed to flavors you're not accustomed to, and have no idea how to react to them. Just like with coffee; I doubt when you first tasted coffee, you were a fan, but you probably had a sip of black Folger's or some shit, and simply had never been exposed to the taste before. Then, you tried some good coffee, cream and sugar, and hey, it's not bad, and then before you know it, you're drinking black coffee, not to be a snob but because you just like coffee, and you drink even the cheap shit black.
