What's the maximum frequency that you can hear?

http://www.noiseaddicts.com/2009/03/can-you-hear-this-hearing-test/

For me it's something between 15kHz and 16kH, I guess. I'm almost 27 years old.
>>
>>24744841

19 years old, 19 kHz
>>
18kHz, although it's very quiet sounding.
>>
19 YO, 17 kHz
>>
Between 12 and 14kHz and I'm 23. Fuck

20 kHz, 21 and 22 is just nothing
>>
>>24744841
26 22khz

am I super human?
>>
21 and heard all of them, although I have some pretty nice headphones.

Are you supposed to keep your volume at the same level for each one? I couldn't hear past 20 unless I turned my volume up about 25% higher than what it was originally at.
>>
21 y/o and 19 kHz, despite that I listen to metal on 100% volume 24/7
epic
>>
>18 kHz

yikes
>>
20

18 kHz, but it's very faint.
>>
I can't hear 16 and I'm 18 years old

did I fuck up?
>>
>>24744841
20

It stopped at 19kHz
>>
17khz

I'm 29
>>
>>24745071
Same as this.

Though it's probably aliasing that I'm hearing, and not the actual pitch, given the frequency response of most headphones.
>>
I can't hear anything past 18kHz. I barely even catch the 18. I'm 25.

Though, I feel like I'm fucking deaf most of the time. Any time some unexpectedly addresses me it's always met with "what's that?"

Opiate abuse can lower your hearing, and I've been abusing opiates ever since I was 17.
>>
Friendly reminder to search for your headphone's frequency range before assuming your ears are bad.

You might not be able to hear some frequencies because it goes beyond the frequency range of your headset, not because your ears are bad.
>>
I'm 20, can hear 19 faintly.
>>
23 and 17khz
i can hear 18 if i turn my headphones way up
>>
>>24744841

23 and 18kHz. Anything beyond that is just silence (I'm wearing pretty good headphones too).

>15kHz

Meh, hearing high frequencies is for dogs.
>>
>tfw 19

cant hear 16khz

just end it all
>>
I can hear 20 KHz faintly and 19 Khz very clearly.
I'm 20.
>>
>>24744841
32. I can hear 17khz if I turn the volume up. Nothing at 18 khz.
>>
23 and 19 kHz but no headphones, just shitty speakers.
>>
>26 and 18khz

To be fair I couldn't hair 18khz until I used my dt770s.
>>
23 and I can hear 20khz but just fucking barely. I'm also not sure if I'm just imagining it in my head or not
>>
Here's a trick that will let you hear one category higher.

Take your hands and place them behind your head so that your fingertips are nearly touching, just above the base of your skull. Place your palms flat against your ears so you can't hear anything.

Put your index fingers on top of your middle fingers and tap them against them 15-30 times. The effect will be higher the more you do it.

If you have tinnitus this will also stop it for several minutes.

I can just barely hear 15 kHz. 16 and up I can't hear anything. 31 years old.

Given the amount of hearing damage I have, I'm surprised I can hear that much.
>>
5GHz, god damn wireless gives me headaches
shits all like BLEEP BLEEP BLIP nigga

Manufacturer frequency specs are often absolute lies anyway.

You might think you can't hear certain frequencies due to limitations of your equipment. Also, it can go the other way, and you might think you can hear frequencies higher than you actually can when you're actually hearing artifacts/noise at other frequencies instead.

Basically, take hearing tests with a grain of salt unless you're using proper equipment, especially if you're not knowledgeable in the field of audio and sound frequencies.
>>
This test is complete shit, its all subjective due to your computer hardware.Could not hear past 15kHz with my laptop speakers, when I put my headphones on instead I could hear all the way to 20kHz.
