One day, jr in high school I was playing Third Strike while my parents were in the kitchen, sound off. I can't describe why, but I could FEEL that they were disappointed in me. Hit me like a truck. I quit that day. I would play maybe an hour or two a week after that, but to this day I still hide it from everyone in my life.

I grew out of just playing games when I was 15.
Now I use them as a social proxy.
I didn't grow out of them, I just lost the motivation to do anything but browse 4chan, fap and eat. For some reason I always fear starting something new. I worry about disliking something or fucking it up (vidya included) and it being a waste of time but I am also upset that I am missing out by doing nothing. I have still ended up in this position where I do nothing.
