The way I avoid becoming attached to this shitty place is never saving any pictures or memes or anything anymore. On the off chance I see something interesting I'll post, but I don't have a plethora of reaction images or memes saved.
Anyone else the same? When will you delete your 4chan content, faggots?

I have literally hundreds of thousands of images saved from 4chan over the years...
the worst part is I have literally no organization structure.
they are just sitting in around 40 folders on my computer, i just make a new one when the old one gets slow upon opening

Fuck being without it, I have been building those folders for 7 years, I even back up my 4chan folders.
I would be traumatized if i lost my 4chan images from over the years but it will never happen because I have backups on my NAS and to ensure I am doing loss less backups I put that shit on tape every 4 months.

It's pretty cool.
I saved them for a reason, and I usually remember that reason. Many time, it take me back a thread I posted/saved them in.will keep that in mind in case I go full normie mode in the next decade or so

Oh no, I have no intention of leaving this site forever. I come here the odd time same as too any site, browse for a while and sometimes post. I don't check it every day anymore, which is something.
Usually it's check /his/, /v/, /sp/ if the rugby is on and then /r9k/ when I'm bored or want to read some NEET stories for a bit of a giggle.
I used to have a reaction folder and a funny images folder but not anymore. Once you stop seeing this place as somewhere with some sort of cuilture and just another imageboard you stop paying attention to pictures people post. Reaction image posts without much text are effectively invisible, the only pictures I pay attention to are wallpapers/diagrams or other relevant stuff.
I dunno. This is place is easier then ever to unhook from, its content is not at all unique anymore.
