Childhood. I was taken to a child psychologist when I was 6 years old and he did that whole "draw a picture of a house" and I drew the house with myself inside and bars on the window and it launched a formal investigation against my parents. That's always been my interpretation of the Joker. None of that dumb edgy anarchist shit. I feel like he's not crazy at all--he just WANTS to be crazy. He's a mental illness fetishist. He WANTS to leave everything behind and be nutty and unpredictable, and to this end, he keeps pushing himself further and further, hoping he'll snap, but he's infuriatingly still stable. Still, he keeps going further yet, far surpassing anyone who's actually mentally ill.
I always liked that interpretation. This way, there's nothing unique about the joker at all. He's just a joe schmoe. He only THINKS he's special. He's only CONVINCED the vat of chemicals changed him. It's really quite interesting.

I have a huge problem with getting emotionally attached to people very fast, I can develop deep feelings for people that I barely know very quickly. Like if I talk to a girl (or a boy!) even for a very short time I'll sometimes imagine spending the rest of my life with them. This also happens a lot when I play co-op games like Left 4 Dead 2 with random people, I can sometimes play 1 game with a person (who I had never met before) and then get sad when they end up calling me weird and denying my friend request on steam. I'll also develop feelings for anime and video game characters.
