This one hit me pretty hard when i first heard it but today i'm mostly over it because it wasn't nearly as offensive as i thought, in fact i have fully embraced it.
College was about to finish and our math teacher always did this one thing where he lectures the class about the shit they're going to be facing from now on and a little comment about us, amazingly he never got in trouble for this because he was a respected teacher, for some reason.
He starts with the stacies and chads, "pretty but shallow and selfish", "popularity isn't going to do you any good unless you're willing to demean yourself", "you better start practicing even more and strike a deal with the NFL because those grades are some of the lowest this school has seen".
Then he moves on to the rest; "keep up the good work", "i am going to be honest with you, art is just a waste of time", "smoking that stuff doesn't make you any cooler, you were an unpopular dork before and now you're an unpopular pothead, does that make you happy? is this what you wanted?".
Then it's finally my turn, i didn't have any friends and never actively tried to look for some, i mostly slept my way through college but got a solid B in the end, i never got into trouble, i wasn't bullied, i never did ANYTHING at all.
So what does he tell me? "Unremarkable".
Nobody made a sound, even though they laughed at people before me, one girl got called a retard in the subtlest way possible and somehow what he told me was the worst one.
