The whole "us versus them" approach - from either/any side - doesn't help trying to make things better, really.
In this particular case it tends to be white people (yet not even remotely half let alone all of them) claiming such things towards black people, granted, but it's easy - and sadly far from uncommon - to end up forgetting that within practically any group of people (whether the division is by gender, race, belief, or what have you) there are both good and bad folk.
(A different example, there are crappy black people out there trying to make all white people feel like they're horrible people and at all costs trying to convince them they're racists even if no actions/thoughts actually merit the label what so ever.)
The "good folk and bad folk" within groups includes "black vs white", plenty of decent black people and plenty of decent white people out there, preferring to live peacefully together rather than living with all the hatred, resentment, intolerance, and supposed fear towards one another.
