I went to county for two days on a misdemeanor several years ago.
yeah was a week in jail, pretty boring to be honest, some child molester got his ass kicked after the tv everyone was watching showed him as a child molester on the news, so that was interesting, other than that you either just jog around the exercise area or watch tv with the rest, btw i wasnt on a single cell more like they put bunks for a shit load of people and you sleep and live with like 40 people, oh and the day i left they did a surprise drug and contraband check worst hour of my life

I was at Pendleton correctional facilitate in Indiana, Never was raped, never seen rape, never heard of any rape plenty of assaults sure and other predatory behavior but it's not like the Tv show OZ makes it out to be.

I actually didn't get caught myself, My dumb ass partners attempted a home invasion and the people living there were home and whooped their asses and called the cops lol.
I didn't go with them on that one because I wasn't interested in home invasion i would rather break into a home i knew was empty.
Cops showed up and arrested them and found some shit from the other burglaries in the trunk of their car and so they snitched me out, cops come to my place and find a couple of gold rings that were stolen that i didn't have the chance to pawn off yet, I pled guilty.

I have two counts of second degree home invasion on my juvenile record. I'm in my early twenties now and about a decade has passed since all that went down. I only had to spend two weeks in a non-secure detention facility for youthful offenders though. Was fingerprinted, put on probation for a year, and had to do about 100 hours of community service.
Haven't been in trouble since and am currently about to finish university. I'm worried that I'll have a hard time finding and getting a good job, since my record won't clear until I'm 30 given that I have two felony offenses. Thankfully, a juvenile record means that I haven't lost very many of my rights, although I'm unsure as to whether or not I can legally purchased firearms.
I volunteer and do my best to give back to my community and world now. Shit fucking sucks, I can't even identify with the angry little shit I was when I was 13 or 14 or whatever. I wish I could travel back in time and slap myself upside the head.

yeah I worked in one and they did stuff like that from time to time (although without the riot gear). they'd empty out a cell block to search it and have the inmates all go into this big room and sit along the walls, and then some officers would walk around with dogs to make sure nobody started trouble. it was pretty funny seeing everyone immediately shut up the second they see the dogs coming

I spent a night in jail. I was literally the most beta prisoner imaginable.
I was so scared when I went in that they actually assigned me my own designated correctional officer. He came by about five minutes after they escorted me to my cell, and explained that I was in jail, not prison, so there were no gang members to fuck with me. He said if someone tried to start something with me I could shout out his name and he'd come help me. If I had to leave my cell, he'd be the one to come get me.
Then he left, but he came back every hour or so to check on me and say motivational chad shit like "keep your chin up, buddy" or "you're doing fine" with a huge grin and a thumbs-up.
I wish I could say that I felt insulted by his overly patronizing attitude but honestly he made me feel really safe and I'm deeply grateful that he was there. If you're out there, C.O Chad, I want you to know that I'll never forget you, but I really hope you don't remember me.

Yeah, my situation was a lot worse. The two counts of second degree home invasion were after a plea bargain that removed multiple weapons charges and reduced a count of first degree home invasion. Somehow I managed to get let off the hook for about a half dozen other burglaries in a different county and wasn't charged for any of those.
I guess I deserve to suffer somewhat, but it's difficult now knowing that my personality and temperament is so different from what it was back then.

Burglary and carrying a concealed weapon. Sounds way cooler than it is, I got drunk with a buddy and went rifling through some cars (burglary) and found a pocket knife along the way (carrying a concealed weapon).
