Remember when you were called 'geek' or 'nerd' against your will?
Remember when people didn't want to be called a 'geek' or a 'nerd'?
Remember when 'geek' and 'nerd' meant something?
It makes my blood boil when women use these words about themselves without any idea how much shame and pain they used to cause me.

I guarantee you those two in your pic have been called way worse things than "geek" and "nerd." They've probably been spit on, screamed at, and physically assaulted. Yet everyday, they still go out in their white shirts on their crappy bicycles and try to change people's minds. Why do they do it? There was a time when the U.S. Govt. itself massacred these people and forced them into the desert. Why don't they just get the fucking message?

I think religion and believing everything you do is right and just can help you very much to deal with things on a psychological level. Anxiety and depression mostly start when there is self doubt.

By hating on Mormons, you're only deepening the scism between them and normal people. Mormons probably wouldn't be so fundie, weird, and popular if they'd been treated like something to be ignored in the first place rather than scorned.

the new 'geek' and 'nerd' are 'fedora' and 'neckbeard'
geeks and nerds eventually made it a positive identity for themselves, so normiescum had to come up with something more hateful and insulting

Holy fuck, girls in 2020 will wear fedoras with pride
Geeks and nerds of today are still hated in the real world, you just assume people like them because you're basing this opinion on internet culture.
Yes, OTI geeks are cool now. IRL, they are still considered annoying/ridiculous, even older ones and "hip" ones.
Why? Because geeks can't interact socially, something that can't be seen OTI.
>the same people who made fun of you years ago for using internet all day long and chatting with strangers are now using twitter/facebook to chat with strangers 24/7
