So I have committed to not seeking out porn and not masturbating for the whole of December at least, still time this year to break my personal record of 24 days, and progress further toward eliminating both of these addictions that don't serve me.

Even if that was a realistic option, it would be the same physical addiction to orgasm and ejaculating. Try completely purging all porn and porn links form your computer. Even though it won't stop you form continue to look at porn, chances are that if you flushed a huge porn collection, then you won't feel like rebuilding one, and so your porn viewing will be less often and for less time.
