>anon, it's your turn to read out loud to the class
>tfw you're the only one who didn't stutter every other word.
Why was everyone retarded
>>24655205
Fucking finally. I would read like 5 pages to every other person's half page because they had to stop and sound out any word longer than two syllables.
>>24655250
I get this completely, 3.7 GPA overall, loved reading aloud and presentations, aced English courses, selected to give notable speeches during undergraduate career. That said, doesn't mean others are idiots. Just means you have something to be fortunate and perhaps relatively humble about. I mean, don't get me wrong, hard to feel humble when I know how great I am. But like, don't actively put others down.
>>24655205
I wouldn't have minded if we at least read good shit but 90% of the time it's just some gayass short story written by the nephew of whoever wrote this gayass textbook.
>count how many people between you and the guy reading
>count how many sentances
>memorise ylur line in advance
>reading gets to you and its not in the expected target zone
FUG
>>24655205
>anon you're reading too fast for the class!
>>24655250
I have no idea. People would get stuck on easy words.
>half the kids in class can barely even read to begin with
Jesus fucking Christ. What is it about english class? Always has the stupidest kids.
>>24655339
this so much, are you me?
>>24655250
>everyone struggling with simple fucking words and getting stuck on some of the slightly larger words until the teacher/someone else pronounced it for them
>finally fucking snap inside
>stand up and read the rest of the chapter in full theatrics, putting emotion into it like I'm in a play
>work up a decent sweat from all the gallivanting I've been doing around the room
>when I'm done, the entire fucking room breaks into applause
Normies.
>>24655339
I remember this magic
>dyslexic
>get made fun of for being shit at reading
>develop massive insecurity
>read constantly to improve my skills
>get to high school
>normies can't even pronounce '"colonel" right
at least I can enjoy reading now
i just can't and never could do it
any tips?
>>24655292
>loved reading aloud and giving presentations
OUT OUT OUT OUT
I remember in high school there was this girl who sounded like she was crying every time she read out loud. She was fine though. She was kinda cute :3
>tfw always volunteer to read out loud just to be sure that everything is pronounced correctly
>tfw can't breathe in
>>24656236
you think pronounciation was bad? we had a fucker that had this weird stutter/skip, but for whole words & sentences. he'd say something after each mistake, then the correct word would be way louder than the rest of the stuff
>and theeeeyyyyy. they went to the outdo- ughhh. they went to the INDOOR pool and stop- augh pool and GOT down the next level
for pages at a time
>>24655588
>implying english isn't just retarded
I'd either say pass or read quietly. I hated speaking in front of everyone. I couldn't do presentations on front of the class so I always got 0s my face would turn red and I'd start shaking. I'd have people tell me they thought it was funny when I did it.
>that one kid in class that you could not wait for until it was his turn to read
This fool pronounced machine "mack-a-knee".
>be so retarded you skip entire lines
Or was I ;)
>>24655205
>tfw you read ahead and didn't know where the rest of the class was at.
Every time
>>24655205
Good, time to show these inbred retards how it's done.
>tfw the teacher asks retards to read out loud and you're literally screaming internally
I hate those fuckwads who talk in slow motion or something its so damn annoying
>>24655292
Is 3.7 supposed to be good?
In my school, above average was like 4.4
>>24655381
>t- t- th-
IT"S FUCKING "THE" ARE YOU ACTUALLY FUKING STUPID FUCK YOU FUCK UYOUUUU
>>24656862
>4.4 average
>4.4 gpa
Tfw had a stutter
>>24655250
I loved reading out loud. I may not have been a social student or particularly good with my peers one-on-one, but I've always excelled at giving presentations and letting my voice be heard by large audiences.
>>24655292
>I know how great I am
>slaughters every comma in his post
>>24656862
See [>>24657339]. If GPAs went upward of 4.0, you're not even playing the same game.
>>24656152
Dude. That was my moment to show what I'm made of.
>>24657466
Love posters like you.
>See someone doing remarkable shit
>Envy leads you to critique their 4chan writing, as if that's a measure of other successes
Hardly germane, writing a free-flow 4chan post and writing an address to 100s of student and faculty. You go do those things, then come at me. In the meantime, chillin'.
>retards reading out loud
>trying to hold my laughter
>accidentally snicker too loudly
>everyone staring at me
I was always the best outloud reader in class. I looked forward to it because I could read from a young age and never stumbled so I was kind of a fucking star.
>>24657501
Pray tell, my Robotic friend, in exactly what realms have you been successful? I eagerly await your boasts.
>>24657575
*which desu my bad senpai kek lol
>>24657575
>Pray tell
>Poor reading comprehension
Answered you throughout my posts and in the very first one. Finished you in the previous post. Game over. Just stop posting. You lost.
Now watch me baka
Now watch me desu
Watch me senpai, senpai
Watch me baka
>>24655470
Ya I'm sure that happened
>>24657623
>throughout my posts
>implying the length of our conversation hasn't been two posts (now three) on my side and two on yours
So far as I can tell, your "achievements" include a slightly above-average GPA and an ability to not sperg out while giving presentations. Do you really think either of these two traits or accomplishments make you special?
>read the entire passage aloud flawlessly
>don't remember a single thing you said
GREAT TEACHING TOOL SENPAI
>tfw teacher read out loud for us
>one day the class was more rambunctious than usual (thanks to my friend and accomplice)
>teacher gets too frustrated and she tells us we don't deserve to have her read for us
>she sits down and the class is dead quiet, I meekly state "Maybe I could read for you guys"
>everyone agrees since I was the fastest and most articulate reader
>ask teacher if its okay and she glares at me
>"Alright if you insist!"
>stand in front of the podium and read
>classroom is hooked on every single word coming from my mouth
>after the bell rings they clap
>begin to read for them whenever we had a book to read
Man, I feel a little bad though cause the teacher was really nice and let my friends and I get away with so much shit.
I have a couple stories if you wanna hear em
>"pass"
>anon you have to read in order to get participation points
>"no, pass"
>never asks me to read outloud again
i was not a good student
>Your turn to read
>You get to say Negro/Cuss
Hell yeah
>>24657737
>participation points
NO STOP
DON'T REMIND ME
>90% on every test and quiz
>not even green text literally greater than 90%
>very obviously know the material
>participation is %40 of the grade
>never participate in shit
>mfw i actually failed the fucking class
Okay, I guess the 'you tried, retard' score is more important than KNOWING WHAT THE CLASS IS SUPPOSED TO TEACH YOU.
>edgy atheist phase in 8th grade
>went to an Israeli charter school that couldn't officially call itself religious but really was
>replaced every instance of god with science or nothing
>every kid complained and the teacher just thought I was odd
she was a nice lady though
>>24655205
>anon, you need to speak louder
>>24657734
So cool bro!
Hey everyone!
Get a load of this anon! Isn't he so cool! Wowwww!
His story sounds completely made up and something a 16 year old fantasizes and makes up in his head. But no! It's completely true, I mean this 4chan.
>high school lit teacher also taught drama and coordinated plays and all that shit
>we read in class and she made us act out the scenes
>no one wants to read
>"alright i guess i'll have to pick someone"
>one kid volunteers
what a saint
