What are some god tier tips about ordering steak?
I have a gift card to a fancy steak house I won at a raffle at work. Never really had much of it growing up because it was too expensive.
What are some good cuts to order? What about good side dishes?

Idk it's all Pretty good. I like my steaks medium rare, medium is also acceptable, but anyone who gets anything else is a fucking cunt
Just get the most expensive one that the card covers. If you like meat, get medium rare. It will be pink and juicy but it will taste absolutely incredible. If you're kind of squeemish about raw beef then get medium. Still good, but you lose more flavor the more it cooks. No steak sauce. No extra seasoning.

I get medium well if I'm at a bad restaurant, and work my way up to rare depending on the restaurant quality, or if I or a family member/friend is cooking it

If you must eat out, not recommend, eat at a fast food place, a major chain, they are inspected often and have high quality controls than most places
If you really want steak, always, always order it " Very Well Done", otherwise you are really risking your health
Also never eat salad at a restaurant, most E-Coli outbreaks come from salads
Stay away from any kind of buffet or salad bar, they are disgusting

i often find that fancy steak houses will undercook your steak by one level, so if you want rare you have to order medium-rare, if you want medium you have to order well, and if you want well you have to order burnt to a fucking crisp.

I'd get a ribeye medium rare. If you don't eat a ton of steak you might want to order it with a sauce like au poivre or bearnaise.
