my whole life I've only slept about 4 hours a night. I feel fully energized and am active. When I sleep longer I feel even more tired, like I'm not really sleeping.
Is it possible my brain waves are messed up? Like my rem cycle doesn't work correctly?
Some people just don't need much sleep. I think Margaret Thatcher got by with about 3 hours a night. Many CEOs do too.

Psychology 101, man. Sleep needs are dependent on the individual person. 8 hours is the AVERAGE. which means some people need more, and some need less. I'm usually satisfied with around 7 hours. If I go over 8 hours, I tend to feel more shitty and tired for some reason.
I know a lot of buddhists and yogis think sleep is wasted time that you could be meditating so they only sleep about 4 hours too.

I think it started from stupid "life hacks" websites spamming that uberman's sleep schedule or whatever where you can apparently be perfectly healthy with only 4 20 minute naps a day.
