Is anyone here on the Aspergers spectrum?
I've been wondering about this for a while. I've been tested a few times and they always say I don't have it, but multiple people have told me I probably do, including people in my own family. Usually after I tell them I don't have it, they tell me to get retested because the doctor probably fucked up and I definitely do.
Are there any surefire ways to tell this kind of thing? Are those tests just not accurate? I don't want it, but if I do have it I should probably be on some medication or something.

It's pretty rare to find someone who would diagnose an adult with autism/asperger's unless they exhibited very severe symptoms.
Beyond a certain point, behaviors/"quirks" that someone with more mild symptoms might exhibit are often attributed to simply being quirky or eccentric.

There is no medication. But one thing there is is discrimmination. If you don't have any problems in life that you need help with, and don't feel any need to get a diagnosis, don't feel pressured into getting one.
Here's mine. Basically just told me I'm not a normo, but I have social anxiety and mild depression so that might affect it.

I was diagnosed as an adult and I didn't have very severe symptoms. I do have a lot of associated disorders though, and I've gone through therapy for one of them.

I've long suspected it.
I always get positive results (for sperg, anyway) on those online tests, but I'm skeptical of how much credence to lend them. At the same time, I did a fuckton of research last year after somebody pointed out that I might have it, and...yeah, my whole life is like a symptom checklist. It honestly makes sense of a LOT. My brain is just not normal.
I'm not sure whether to get diagnosed or just not give a fuck.

I got diagnosed as an adult and I have had nothing disadvantageous come of it. I've been able to get hired more readily, and have speshul snowflake privileges at my job. Biggest one being I get to work entirely from home.
