Can you guys help me figure out this magic trick? I've showed it to a bunch of people and nobody can figure it out. It's a very old trick, and there's a lot of videos of different people performing it, and you can even buy the trick online for like $1,599, but I just can't figure out how it's done.

at 3:11 it seems like the stick is just appearing below as opposed to steadily sliding. it's clearly some mirror thing but i'm not sure where specifically they are because he walks behind the cart sometimes
