I don't know how well I'll be able to design clothes, but I think a combination of trial and error with easier clothes, and my mother quite skilled with the sowing machine, it'll go all right.
check out some online sources for ideas and such, I'd say, and don't try to jump onto the advanced designs right off the bat.
