The problems gay people often face isn't related to their attraction, but rather to the body that they have and people thinking that body shouldn't have an attraction, even though other bodies can.

5. Peace between sexes theory - In a tribal setting, gay people could serve as a mental balance between males and females (the weakest point on this list).
