NEET or college normie, twin bed, 4x7ish? 28 sq ft
100-28=72 available sq feet for other stuff
If you put the bed jutting out from the wall, then it's an obstacle and your 72 remaining square feet is broken up into less usable blocks. If you put it in a corner, then the rest of the room is practically one solid block for other stuff like a desk, shelf, dresser, etc.
Putting a bed in the corner means the room feels bigger and more open and saves space, space that will become useful if you need to do something using that floor area.
