Zookeeper. I love animals, studying them, handling them, and, oddly, even cleaning up after them. But I'm 20 with no actual job experience for it. Only know I enjoy it from when I had a country gf who I help tend to her horses, snakes, dogs, etc, and really want to work with more exotic animals.

This. Volunteer at the local shelter and try to make connections. Doesn't hurt to go to the zoo and see if they have any positions. I'm still failing college so I'm going to try to do welding next semester because I find myself a better learner in a hands on environment. Good luck to everyone!

Positions open up at zoos constantly, only it's janitor or something. Study zoology part time whilst doing some shit kicker job at a zoo and networking. Make friends with everyone you can while there. Sorry to say though but zookeeper is generally only a marginal step up from janitor, most of your working time will spent cleaning up animal shit.
