Being a mentally underdeveloped person and frequenting this board (and /pol/, as well) is extremely harmful to your mental development, and I'll tell you why.

A human being needs to be exposed to constantly differing perspectives on the world in order to properly shape their own, unique mindset and worldview. By isolating yourself with a single, unchanging thought, you effectively set the stage for your future self. Most of you malebots are around the age of 18, which is still young and underdeveloped (laws would lead you to believe that you're already a fully grown, mature person at this age, but that's nothing short of a lie), yet you think you're already set to be a wizard. You're not, but persist to follow the current path you're taking, and you will be.

Do yourself a favor and, at the very least, explore the rest of the internet, or even just 4chan. Your brain does not need a comfort zone regarding reality. What it needs is stimulation in order to grow into a healthy mind.

Don't kill yourselves, lads.
>>
Who cares if my mind is healthy? Suicide or not, it's all the same.
>>
>>24576632
You should care, because nothing is stopping you from achieving a healthy mind. You could very much be enjoying life rather than sulking in depression and suicide, because your entire mindset revolves around how unjust society and social constructs are.

Do you not want to enjoy life, Anon?
>>
>>24576582
This one is right. At least explore other boards of 4chan and go to other websites. Read wikipedia.
Don't become autists.

Wait..there are other boards than just this and /pol/?

So you're that kind of guy, huh

No wonder women find you repulsive

Dude. I grew up on the chans, and I'm no normalfag, but have had considerable successes in spite of using /r9k/ since 2008/9.

>VP of student government
>Speeches
>Academic honors and awards
>Graduated college with 3-4 offers of employment
>Working a professional career with prestige
>Had sex in college, losing virginity at 22
>Ended up receiving a wealth of publicity, including meeting high up political figures

Trust me, I still have my quirks. But I went from being a bot with seemingly no prospects to having a nice amount of successes. And I'm convinced one of the reasons I did so well in college was the linguistic skills gleaned from time spent arguing with many of you or merely observing how others argued. Think about how different people hear are willing to think, even if irrationally at time. That flexibility makes room for innovation.
>>
>>24576690
No, I don't want to engage in life at all.
>>
>>24577223
>linguistic skills
>incorrect form of hear/here
But anyway, yes, you're exactly the result of what I talk about. You didn't just lock yourself up in a bubble with a singular autistic outlook on life, you were open instead, and allowed different worldviews to shape your existing one into something positive.

>>24577500
Then you shouldn't be posting. You should've killed yourself long ago, in fact, but we both know you're just being a dramaqueen, otherwise you would be dead already.

What you need to do is stop being a pathetic manchild by growing up.

Thanks for not being a dick and missing the point of my post. I almost cringed after I reread it, too, but know that posters worth a shit don't use that tactic.

I know. I just thought it was humorous to point out.

Nah, wizardry was in the cards for me from the beginning. You learn to get over it, or at least not get all angry and foam at the mouth at the thought of a woman. I find myself agreeing a lot with people here, just getting really annoyed at how zealous they are about it.

Not sure when being lonely stops happening though. Still waiting on that.
>>
>>24576582
You do realize that the arguing that constantly takes place on /r9k/ is because of differing opinions, right?
>>
>>24577223

Absolute cringe. I am not involved with this thread at all, but I wanted to just stop in and tell you how embarrassing it was to read that.
>>
>not "constantly differing perspectives on the world"
>a single, unchanging thought

This is an anonymous imageboard. Not only is anyone on earth able to comment here anonymously, but the anonymity ensures that their post has to be taken on its own merits, and free from presuppositions or associations about who is posting - so every post must be evaluated for its own claims. People can and so also post content from anywhere else, and as your own OP proves - we even get normies here posting a variety of opinions contrary to any supposedly 'prevailing zeitgeist'.

The world until the internet age was ruled by centralised mass media outlets, often tied to corporate, financial, and governmental interests which are again centralised. The media for most of the century has been one-way, people haven't been able to talk back. Sites like 4chan allow the freest discussion possible, much freer even than any sort of organised IRL "free speech" convention could allow, because anonymity also allows people to feel psychologically protected from personal attacks, and so they're able to express their own vulnerabilities and ideas that would otherwise not be tolerated.

Do I win a prize if I do that?

Perhaps there is free discussion but likeminded people flock to similar boards. This is especially prevalent here in /r9k/, so sure, we can talk about anything, but we won't. We'll talk about our shared views and ignore anything that challenges our ideologies in a meaningful way by spouting memes, edgy crap and calling other people faggots. Thus reinforcing our meaningless feeling of inclusion and belonging through exclusion of those not discussing our shared ideas.

Literally what im doing right now
Im thinking about permanently leaving 4chan but the feel threads, occasional porn threads and the classic 4chan stories from /r9k/ and /fit/ keep bringing me back as i have nothing else to do with my time. Im still in highschool so i know ill eventually bid this place good bye.

For now, i try to give other robots and fitizens advice
>>
>>24578452

What you're describing is merely a general consensus or intellectual laziness, that's something that can't be controlled. r9k allows anything with a dissenting opinion to share it, and contrary opinions are routinely shared. Again, there is MORE freedom, and MORE diversity of opinion on a board like r9k than you'll find in any public forum, or on most forums online where people have regular handles. If someone is willing to ignore a contrary viewpoint here, won't they just ignore a contrary viewpoint elsewhere?

I'm a regular here, and I don't think I have any false sense of 'inclusion'. I identify with certain posts that resonate with my own experiences.

Yeah tell that to ignorant fucktards at prestige colleges and universities who won't accept you simply because of which class you came from.

Tell that to Hollywood executives who won't accept creativity and originality because it won't make money.

You have an ignorant and childish view of the world.
>>
>>24578669
>general consensus for intellectual laziness

That is the exact problem we are talking about. OP's point is that it's healthier on ones mind to explore other communities. Of course you identify with posts that resonate with your experiences, that's what I mean, people with similar though processes and experiences gather together and through lack of intellectual challenge form warped ideas and views on life and society.

It's exactly how we have all these people talking about wanting to kill themselves, the whole "beta" "friendzone" family of shit that gets talked about here is only allowed to perpetuate by those who only allow their minds to be influenced by such sites.
>>
>>24578948

>That is the exact problem we are talking about.

I said "general consensus OR intellectual laziness", are you deliberately being dishonest?

>Of course you identify with posts that resonate with your experiences, that's what I mean, people with similar though processes and experiences gather together and through lack of intellectual challenge form warped ideas and views on life and society.

So identifying with other people's experiences is some sort of group-think??? How can anyone relate to one another without doing this at some point?

>It's exactly how we have all these people talking about wanting to kill themselves, the whole "beta" "friendzone" family of shit that gets talked about here is only allowed to perpetuate by those who only allow their minds to be influenced by such sites.

You ignorant normie. There are a number of people who decide to kill themselves every year, independently of being on r9k. If anything, the suicide threads I've seen have always involved a variety of views, some people saying "do it", others giving all sorts of different interpretations and advice on what the OP should do. In real life these people get the lamest normie advice imaginable, often pushing them even closer to the edge. I've talked to women from all around the world, many countries in different regions - who openly agree with the idea of "Alphas/Betas", "Friendzones". Once again, there are a variety of views on these things expressed on r9k. There's really no group-think, you're just a normie in your own form of group-think, and yours is obvious because you apparently won't even acknowledge other people's perspectives or opinions as possibly valid.

"You're just a normie"

Kek, making me right by perpetuating ideologies revolving around inclusion through exclusion.

Kiddo, the world goes beyond /r9k/, stop defending it like its the last haven on earth. That's the point of the whole post. Not much need for argument, and in arguments use of personal experiences is the quickest way to get everything your saying flagged as bullshit. So no need for all this "I talk to blah blah and they think blah" no. Just no.
>>
This Doj guy is going to get banned soon, right?

>Kek, making me right by perpetuating ideologies revolving around inclusion through exclusion.

You're an anti-intellectual. You're attempting to suggest that words don't have value. "Normie" simply means someone who's less individual, reflective, and thus intellectually independent - you yourself are accusing r9k of being guilty of these things and of groupthink, so you acknowledge that such things are possible... well the term "normie" as used here simply implies the same thing you're suggesting.

You're a normie because you're doing something SO MANY OTHERS have done before you, you think that there's a "problem" here on r9k that you, brilliant smart little cookie that you are, can somehow "solve" things by "opening our minds". You're like the conspiracy theorist convinced that everyone who doesn't believe the opinion he's taken verbatim from Alex Jones is a "mindless sheep". We have normies telling us to "open our minds" and "go outside" every fucking day. Many of us HAVE and\or DO. It really reveals how deluded and lacking in thought you are that you assume that all or most robots somehow exist on this board alone, don't go on other boards or other websites, and don't go outside.

Once again, I'm not "enforcing" any belief because very little of my argument has policed anyone in a psychological sense, I haven't attributed motivations or feelings to anyone, other than a slight, reacting comment on you specifically.

As I said, we have people like you who always post the same dull arguments about "echo chambers", this on a site which allows complete free speech - where reactive conservatives who want to kill pedos talk with people like myself who want AoC laws and child-porn laws removed. Or where fembots spout their roastie myths and get toasted by red-pilled gentlemen channeling the spirit of our prophet Elliot. Just leave.

I only use YouTube and 4chan now and I'm probably going to leave 4chan soon. I used to use other sites but it all just became so repetitive that I stopped using them. Now all I see is YLYL, Rekt, and NEET faggotry. I'm not personally gay but I still browse /lgbt/ because it manages to have the tiniest sliver of originality. I'm trying to find somewhere that has at least one new thing every time I go on
>>
Schopenhauer discussed this very topic in one of his essays. Observation should precede idea or else your worldview will be shaken when experienced first hand. Then you will have difficulty abandoning the false views that you were so accustomed to.

The purpose of this thread was to incite discussion, which has been a success. I'm glad to know that at least one person will walk away from this thread with an improved outlook on life.
