Is New Jersey the most robot state?
>>
>>24576489
Yes. Fuck this suburban polluted hell hole.
>>
Ya, it's filled with Indians and jews. Fuck this place.
>>
No it's just awful. I know because I've spent my entire life here.
>>
>>24576564
This.

I hate this fucking state. It's full of pompous idiots and assholes.
>>
CT is the most robotic
>>
Help me, robots. How the fuck do I get out of here? It's so oppressive.
>>
>>24576599
Yeah. And it's a different type of asshole in each region of the state.
>>24576665
There's no hope. All you can do is drink and listen to the Born to run album on repeat.
>>
Not robot, but it might win the prize for opiate abuse.
>>
Depends what area you live in. I live in Hudson county and it's populated by normie spics. I wish I could move the fuck out of here some day.
>>
I'm in CC right now. Is it worth going to Rutgers or should I just flee the state and maybe never go to Uni?
>>
Either NJ or CN, both are kucked by New York.
>>
>>24576871
Don't ask me, uni looks like a bad idea no matter where you go if you don't want to put up with bullshit.
>>
>>24576871
just go to rutgers if you need a degree
>>
>>24576489

I live in Camden county. Parts of it are actually quite nice, just don't wander into the wrong parts of the city.
>>
>>24576871
Rutgers is a solid uni, it only has a bad rep because they let fucking everyone in. Their programs are pretty good however. Coast through your giant lecture classes and get into the honors college. There's also lots of opportunities for research internships if you're into that.
>>
>>24576599
south west CT is an expensive normie shitbox. everywhere else is robotic I guess. Litchfield County is really pretty though
>>

No, but at least you aren't 732 jew town.
>>
>>24576871
I honestly wish I went to Rutgers. If I ever try to back to school that's probably where I'd want to go.
>>24576934
>just don't wander into the wrong parts of the city.
That's true for almost every city in this state. They're all terrible even if they're not as bad as Camden.

>>24577037
That's where I grew up. If you're anything like me, you won't.
>>
>>24576871

It's a pretty highly rated school m8, best degree you can get in NJ besides Princeton.
They even have a campus that's robots only
>>
>>24576489
Can confirm. I live there and I feel like the most robotic person on this board.
>>
>>24577119
>tfw stuck on college ave, the normiest of the normie campuses
>tfw drunk partygoers pass my window every night will I'm stuck inside shitposting
>>
>>24577167

What street m8? I lived on Robinson, Hartwell, and Bartlett.

Robin and Hartwell had thugs and murders but Bartlett was normie central
>>
>>24577189
I dormed, Brett Hall. My first floor room window faced a parking lot so I had car lights shine directly in my room whenever I slept.

Had the option to live in Campbell in a single but decided to commute because I wanted some peace and quiet.
>>
>>24577189
>>24577311
Well if I actually want to be a normie, which place do you guys recommend?

I really don't want to shitpost my youth away.

You'll be pretty much fine if you socialize enough freshmen year when no one knows each other. Livingston and College Ave are fine, Douglas is spaced out as fuck so I think it would be harder to know a lot of different people there. Busch has all the asians and STEMfags, may or may not be a good thing depending on who you like to socialize with.

Also, join a fucking club like debate, so you can actually know people. This school is fucking enormous and it's quite easy to be invisible.

Pretty sure there's some kind of transfer club here. I highly recommend the Aresty program, you can befriend cool professors and fellow undergrad researchers and make connections. There's a lot of stuff for the honors program if you can get into it. Living on campus is important, make friends with your neighbors and go from there.

It's also not too late to get into a club, too. Just make sure it's something active that requires socializing, not the anime club or something like that.

Eat shit, Jersey's fantastic if you actually look anywhere beyond Camden, Newark, or Port Elizabeth. The food here is the best I've found anywhere in the world. Hiking the Delaware Water Gap or rafting down it has always been a good way to kill a weekend. Camping in the Pine Barrens is some fun and eerie shit. As another Jersey native (609), you'll need a different state if you want excuses to stay inside and shitpost.

There are parts that are safer and more affluent than others. I'm just thankful I live in Woodside (North Ward) instead of some shithole like Stratford Place (or anywhere in the South Ward really).

Also, 10-15 mins to NYC is nothing to sneeze at.

Who /newark/ here?

There are really shitty aspects of NJ though that don't involve crime like the property tax, insurance rates, etc.

It's like 20 minutes from my house, cheap as fuck, and my grades are garbage so I can't go anywhere else atm. I dropped the ball hard this semester so I'm stuck here for at least another 6 months. I'm ready to turn it around but it sucks after having dug this hole so deep.
Plus the major I've spent the past year and a half going for is bullshit.

Really wish I wasn't such a depressed pothead for the past 4 years. Oh well, I'm changing it now. Hopefully I'll transfer to NB next fall or I'm just moving to Poland.

>>
>>24578270
I haven't seen it, but I've only heard a few things. One of the major scenes was filmed down the street from my house. None of the filming locations in the show are all that interesting.

>>24578136
I've spent more time there than I'm proud of. It's a really sad city.

>>24577968
>Jersey's fantastic if you actually look anywhere beyond Camden, Newark, or Port Elizabeth.

You also have to avoid Jersey City, Atlantic City, Clifton, Paterson, Elizabeth. I always thought Hoboken was a shithole too, but people seem to enjoy it.

I'm lazy when it comes to show watching. Either a show grips me and sends me flying through seasons or I just forget to watch it. I saw a couple of episodes and it's mostly consistent in the idea that there are still crime families in New Jersey, however feeble they are at this point. They exaggerated how much power they have, though they still have authority in old Italian neighborhoods out of a mix of fear and respect.

Fair point about those; I once got my shit kicked in years ago in Paterson. That said, rural Jersey is criminally neglected when people take a look at this state. Last I heard, Hoboken seems to be going the same route as Brooklyn: hipsters and gentrification everywhere. Not that I don't mind new neighbors.

>>
>>24579089
If you know what you want to do and if Rowan can obtain it for you, go ahead. It's certainly affordable. That being said, I can't feel comfortable making a general recommendation for the university because it doesn't have a great name for itself (yet - some predict it will be like penn state). Be weary of credits though. you'll might be unable to use quite a few.
Other things, it's been turning into a bit more dudebro-esque vibe here, and it's also picked up a name for being a drinking and party school. Meh.

Ask around, desu. I know people from GCC and CCC generally needed 3 years to complete their degrees at Rowan. This is 2-3 years ago though. My only issue with this university is that I'm very lonely, and there is little to do here other than drink and party. I also don't seem to really hit it off to well with individuals that don't drink and party. Crime may be on the rise, but I might just be listening more.

I agree only because of the name rutgers has. If you have more options, i'd consider exploring them. Drexel might be a good choice if you can afford it and do well. My cousin got whisked away to Amazon from there. That's just a single case though. Rowan might be nice if you want to hook up with MSE and Lockheed Martin. They're funneling our compsci graduates.

Rutgers is top 50 in the nation for compsci, Rowan and NJIT are far behind. Better name recognition and faculty by far.
