I tried again and again and again. I failed so many times and suffered. For years it seemed like there was no progress at all. If there was any progress it came just so slow.
I remember the times when I went for walks in the park to ask people for the time just to practice having a basic conversation with some stranger. I memorized the exact sequence of words that I would ask people. One, ten, twenty times I approached some random person and asked the same question over and over again. Needless to say I felt like an idiot but after the 20th time or so I no longer felt stressed or nervous. That was when I would come up with something else to ask people.

Yes, my autist games didn't help me getting a job. But they laid the foundation. Because after doing it for a long enough time I learned to have normal conversations with people and this helped me to gain more confidence which in turn helped me to advance in other areas.
