It's funny how you say that about /mu/ but most of the threads are pop threads. You would be hard pressed to find content on /mu/ that isn't pitchfork buzz bands.

/x/ has been this way for at least the past 3 years though. It's actually IMPROVED since the mods removed tulpafags.
There are one or two good threads at a time and the rest are for role-plaing and the mentally ill.
