This is a a ridiculous analogy, because chimpanzees do not possess the concept of 'intelligence', where even the dumbest human knows what it means to be intelligent. I don't think myself to be very smart, but I would know that Albert Einstein was smart if he showed me some equations and solved them or explained to me a very complex idea in a way that I could understand. Not to mention, the world's smartest person probably has smart interests, such as classical music or architecture.
Did you do well in school? Did you go to a good university? What are your hobbies? When and on what was your last intelligent conversation? These are a few questions that might 'prove' that you are a genius.
I should also mention that it's usually idiots who are convinced of their intelligence, whereas the truly intelligent are often doubting their own abilities.
