Nah mate, that's the worst thing to do from my experience. When some random bellend decides they need to open the cupboard or look under the bed for some unknown reason you are rumbled worse than if you just left them out in the open. Plus when I used to do this even if it worked in the short term I would forget about them and leave them there for like a year until someone did eventually stumble upon them. Very embarrassing.
