Schooling. People are conditioned from birth to not pursue their passions. You spend at least eight hours pursuing what others want you to do, for years and years on end.
Anyone who can break out of that conditioning ends up either in jail or a millionaire.

Because their passions are acting, collecting rare spoons, travelblogging or stuff we don't need 1M to do. Most musicians are creating music nobody really listen to. I'm sure there are 3.0+ drone tapes with 30+ reviews that NOBODY really listened to on RYM. Same thing for painting, most artists are dependant on small town taxes wastes here.
Plus I really fucking love Microsoft Excel since I can do a bit more advanced stuff.
