Yeh, you're probably right. Most all electronic music is made with DAWs now. They are super powerful. I'm sure some are still made with old synths too, like the old Yamaha DXs and old rolands. Wish I could get my hands on some of those.
I'm pretty sure Vaporwave was the logical conclusion of the hipster years.
It solved the problem of "my favorite band is one you never heard!" Because Vaporwave is so spread out, that really fucking no one fucking knows who anyone is in this genre.
I like it. Makes it easy to ignore hipsters who thought they had better taste because they liked something unknown by most.
Especially since this genre is so controversial in even existing.

So much interesting electronic music is made from people in their bedrooms. Pretty cool living in a time where you can make good quality shit without having to go to a studio. Some of my favorite music is made by people making music just as a hobby and personal interest.
Also was kinda cool in the early days of techno being that it was common and popular to release music anonymously thru record labels and other aliases.
