Fun fact about autism that a lot of people don't know is that a lot of us have balance and coordination issues, and when we are growing up this can create a lot of foot and leg pain. I was lucky enough to have physical therapy as a kid to help correct a lot of my problems. I know it sounds weird, but I can recognize other autists by gait a lot of the time since a lot of us have such similar problems.
What did the doctors and physical therapists say? Wear running shoes with good arch support and special insoles. What company makes cheap running shoes while still usually having decent arch support? New Balance.
