There's nothing you can do.
Make them do work that isn't related to school or their community.
Instill in them self confidence and worth outside of their tangible physical experiences and social interactions.
That will give them a much more coherent and even tempered sense of self worth.

Don't raise them in a broken household. That's practically it. A vast majority of robots are the result of divorced parents.
