It's shit like Black Lives Matter that's made me give up on black people. Playing a game online and the guy tells me he's black? Removed. Not worth it since he's inevitably going to turn something into a racial issue in the future. Black colleague wants to hang out after work? I'm busy.
I had black friends growing up and even my best childhood friend was a black kid from Somalia. But with all this shit like blacks getting all worked up over cherry-picked issues and making everything about race and being racist themselves while advocating the end of racism and all this other stupid shit has made me realise it's not worth it.

As a honkey who tries to stay as not racist as possible (it's impossible for anyone) it peeves me too. Of course not in the same way as it does you, but I do understand the why of it.
Only reason they use "nigger" instead of "faggot" or "cunt" or anything else is because "nigger" gets the biggest reaction. I don't know what you should do. You can't change the world on your own. It's a part of culture now because for decades black people have made it that way. Culture takes a long time to shape. My suggestion would be to never ever freak out about that word no matter what. Don't approve of it. Don't approve of how people use it. Don't change your feelings about it, but just don't give them the reaction they are expecting to get. If all black people did that then it wouldn't be fun for them to say anymore and they'll get bored and move on to other offensive words. Nigger will still always be apart of their diction, but if you can move it down the totem pole by not giving them the reaction they want then it'll be way less powerful.
