When you say fascism, do you mean benevolent-dictator-enforced minarchism? Sort of like Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore but even more free market? If so, I'm in the same boat. I lean towards that because I really don't like the idea of violent competition between protection agencies/private law firms. I think the gains in peacefulness that would come from a govt monopoly on violence would be worth the tradeoff of requiring the 'necessary evil' of a small govt and all the risks that entails.

I haven't said anything about enforced collectivism, though it sounds interesting.
I ceased being ancap when I understood that the foundation of libertarian thinking (basically, some theorems about free market and its equilibrium) is broken if you take into account that real people are not rational agents with full information and zero transaction costs.
True laissez-faire can easily be the end of humanity. Poor just die in famine, and some years later rich die as well because the whole economy that supported them lies in crumbles.
So, to ensure our species survival, one should limit property rights. My own take on this problem is to allow full self-ownership (I find self-ownership the best idea rooted in libertarianism) and small property, but regulate collectively the large property (land, factories).
This way we could live in reasonably free and reasonable egalitarian society.
