You kind of think like that but then i think why exactly is scale meaningful at all as far as value is concerned? Humans have preset indicators that tell you when its reasonable to feel fear, activate self worth, weakness etc.

I mean i get how it means something as far as humans think the way they do, obviously it has meaning because that's the way we are programmed, and seeking better modes of thought while operating on this one is sort of an absurd process.
I just think that thats not how you should weigh human value. We're pathetic for more profound reasons than relative scale.

And the funny thing is you could use my same argument for calling anything any human originated description at all.

>>
>>24528282
You're so wrong, I don't even know where to start explaining.

The only meaningful claims are about matter. 'Significance' and 'insignificance', 'tiny' and 'vast' are not real concepts. The only thing that exists are brains. For instance, in some brains, there is a chemical configuration that makes their mouth say, 'the universe is vast and I am tiny'. In some others, a configuration that says 'money is important'. Some people's brains are by the sight of the same car say 'awesome', and others, 'shitty'. Some brains find a certain bridge long, some short. You can objectively speak about such finding. Saying 'nothing matters' is a strictly subjective claim.

In other words, a claim such as 'you're an asshole' is meaningful only insofar as it penetrates into the matter and corresponds to 'my brain in reaction to hearing about things you did produces emotions such as provoke it to act to counteract those things'. This is objectivity. Nothing but matter and its interactions exists.

No, but I think exceptionally more clearly than my IQ and emotionality and religiosity should allow.

>I haven't been able to think properly for four years now. I feel stupid.

Sorry to hear that. I might suggest learning to program. This might help you learn to think of life in terms of specific models, modelling e.g. physical or social or linguistic phenomena.

This is true; IQ is largely genetic, regardless of the amount of things normies are going to try to put into the 'you just need to try harder' bag.

>why you're intending to kill yourself

Dissatisfaction. There are too many flaws of mine, and I don't want to continue witnessing them, as well as the eventual point at which I'll *stop* witnessing them owing to shifted priorities and declined intelligence. I have heard every single argument. I can 'just fix my flaws'; no, what my brain fancies possible has nothing to do with its real physical limitations. I can 'just stop caring about them and accept them'. Yes, and I decided that I'd rather be dead than do that. I don't want to catch myself accepting the things I hate in myself. 'Everything can change'; yes, for worse as well as better. I just want quit.

Do you really think that means anything? And even if it did, would "more witnessing" somehow be "better" as opposed less? Like the universe somehow has a desire, much less a quantifiable one, to be aware of itself?

If we ever do spred more life its just because we are inclined to do so on account of being human.

>>
>>24532525
I meant power as in energy. Persistence of life which by implication is persistence towards improvement.

elevating the status of man or overcoming struggle is only valuable in as much as its workings set value for themselves.

Ultimately it "means" nothing at all, and the ability to perceive this is capable to allowing us to end the absurdity of existing.
>>

I see.

Then in the distant future, a transcended humanity will split into two factions. One will seek to spread life throughout the universe, seeding galaxy after galaxy and establishing great infrastructures. The other faction will seek to destroy all of this. Destroy everything and bring about the heat death of the universe.

The battles between these immortal, godlike humans will rage on for billions of years. It will be a glorious time.

But, for now, gotta pay them bills.
>>
>>24531736
No. You need to understand that there's no such thing as significance or insignificance without a brain to experience it. When the last brain disintegrates, with it dies the idea of insignificance/meaningless/unimportance/...
