It's not my personality but my past and upbringing and social status, I didn't grow up caring about like making eye contact and being socially polite and acknowledging everyone and "making friends", I assumed everyone just either knew what they were doing and I had to learn or someone would come along to show me the way. Then high school came and some personal issues reared their ugly head and my personality changed and I chased everyone off. See maybe I would have had a chance and maybe that was me missing my chance but it's not like I wasn't wrong in my angst. I just missed out on falling in love in high school because I was so busy hating the world. I also assumed what I had to do was better myself for their sake and get on their level just so I could socialise and get along with them, that was supposed to be the end goal? and in actuality what I learned was they talk to each other because they get along and I AM the odd one out, but I can be a loner and stop caring now and worry about the things I find important. Loneliness is real though, and sometimes I get so fed up with not being good enough to want to be around more, but then I remember if I'm not "good enough" to them they're the ones with the problem. Still doesn't change the feeling of being ignored and ostracised because of who you are but it helps, and it helps knowing I'm never really alone in that struggle.
