I dunno man

I mean, I've got a comfy career doing something i enjoy doing but that's all i've got

Obviously i've got a nice family around me but i've got no friends, don't do anything outside of work.

I'm just bored of it all.

And it may be obvious with you guys saying "just go out and do something" but i don't know what to do.

What a fucking waste of time. Have to apply for a job at Oxford when I'm in second year with no experience in the field other than "I went to some lectures every now and again"
>>
>>24524105
Yep, I'm here anon~

Good job on having a comfy career anon~ Have you tried making friends with your co-workers? Since you're in a similar environment you already have something in common. Maybe ask about after work drinks or something? Even if it's just menial small talk, baby steps will eventually cover a huge distance~

You could always take up something out of work as well, like a hobby that forces you to socialise~ That seems like a good way to make friends, at least to me~

Best of luck to you anon! Hope you feel better soon~
>>

I'm friends with all the guys in the office, we all get along so well and there's rarely a boring day there.

No one lives locally though which is an issue for going out after work. they're also all married, kids etc so it's not ideal.

Is there anyway you could meet people locally? That sounds like the best bet IMO~ If not, try inviting people from work to where you live to do something.
The marriage and kids thing is a little harder though. Is there really nobody at your work in the same situation as you?

i might get even luckier and get something out of it.

The worst part is how you can get shit on by JSA for refusing a legitimate job offer.

Around 11.1k. Had a funny conversation with one of the more senior members earlier about it.
>Account managers who do nearly no work take home 30k, 12k of which is bonuses they don't deserve

Come new year, I might look for a web dev position somewhere else, it's more fun than I remember it being.

>Not him, but a lot of places want a 2:1 to consider a masters application

True, but there are ways to circumvent those restrictions:
1. Apply during the end cycle of applications, when less popular courses struggle to fill their application quota
2. Look out for more obscure courses that are related to your area of interest; there's often a surprising amount (esp. in humanities) since a lot of unis are expanding their inter-collegiate and inter-departmental courses for more applications
3. Vocational courses. Anything that represent less of an intellectual challenge, i.e. library studies, translation studies, publishing, etc,..

Obviously, there's no point doing a Masters in something you're not interested in. But to anyone else, go for it. You'd be surprised.

Not entirely sure I actually want to get into accounting as a career, so the specific qualifications might be too narrowly focused to benefit me if I didn't stay in that area. Whereas a Masters in it would probably look great at any business.

It's not a feminism thing mate, most whites have kids when they're ready and can support them, plus most whites are not in council housing so they're crippled by rent/mortgages so have kids much later and less kids.

Muslims are all in council housing or use family money to buy up piles of property. Then just get a wife handed to them when they come of age then start having kids right away without considering consequences and just letting the government pick up the slack

Seriously, don't get a 2:2. A lot of people won't acknowledge it where you are now, but if you look at any decent graduate jobs online you'll see that they all need 2:1s. Getting this grade has has been literally the biggest regret of my life.
