I don't know the answer to that yet. I only talked to my dad about it half a day ago since I have health insurance now. I don't want to be put on antidepressants again (Effexor gave me "brain zaps" for years after I stopped taking it) so hopefully I can just talk to a general doctor about it and get a prescription for something that will let me chill the fuck out and feel like talking to people.

I don't think being diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder would be something to be ashamed of. Besides, from what I've read on "that" chan, being on benzos feels a hell of a lot better than being sober. The only problem is that my parents are going to start pushing me to get a job or an education if I start showing an improvement, but maybe it won't be so bad. I've never taken benzos before so I don't really know what to expect
