Last vidya I played was MGSV. I uninstalled it in disgust and it completely turned me off to video games in general. I have not picked up another game since. Good job Kojimo.
Replaying TES games in order and trying to make a dunmer family that spans across the games, trying to heavy rp the whole thing. Still on Arena now after about 40 hours this play through, I forgot how fun it was. I'll probably get bored of it midway through Morrowind though since they keep getting progressively worse after Daggerfall
I'm playing Fallout 4. Originally I fucking hated Bethesda and expected the worst, especially after Skyrim, but it's probably Bethesda's best game, right up there with Morrowind, once you release your expectations and let it be the fun, fast moving shootan' and craftan' game it is meant to be.
This is also the first time I've ever been impressed by Bethesda's design decisions. I know a lot of people scream that everything about it is casualized, but many changes seem beneficial to me. I feel that people massively overrate the dialogue system in Fallout 3, for example. The system in Fallout 4 is much more fitting for a game of this type, and equally as deep; deeper in fact, in subtle ways. I mean, NPCs can now ask me why I'm standing there quietly. I can just walk away from things I don't care about mid-conversation, like I did to Piper, or prepare to pull out my gun and shoot a guy while he's running his mouth like an idiot. It's very good for this type of role playing Bethesda wants to accomplish, and vastly superior to any of their games previous.

Can anyone suggest some Six Degrees Of Freedom (6DOF) games? I've been hooked on the Descent trilogy, currently going through Descent 3, but I'm having a hard time finding more games similar to it.

As long as you still have fun that's what counts. I like winning more than anything else, so I like to learn a lot about the games that I play because game knowledge is just one of many aspects of being good at a game and it's definitely the easiest to get a handle on if you're willing to dedicate some of your time.

I like it. Don't play many FPS games anymore, once arena FPS games died out I just found myself slowly moving away from FPS in general. I got tired of all these modern FPS games and now Overwatch and the new Unreal Tournament is giving me hope.
I'm playing tropico 4 now. I was very close to finishing it when my computer broke. Now i'm playing on an old shit laptop that gets a pretty bad framerate at very low graphic setting and gets hot as fuck but it's still very fun.
I also play a little mountain blade warband and civilization 4.

But is it worth every speech check being based only on Charisma? Is it worth having only 4 dialogue options for every conversation you'll ever have? And those options being extremely vague on what your character will actually say?

Black Ops 3. This is the most fun I've had with CoD since MW2. I still hate the fact that you have to unlock everything by level and then you have to spend unlock tokens to unlock your shit again. Either give me a token every time I level up that I can spend to unlock whatever I want or go back to the system where I use use this gun at level whatever.

Bought it for $60, never played it until there were sales bringing it all the way down to like 5 bucks on steam, so that was really depressing. Anyway, ended up beating it recently and it was a very disappointing game. Bioshock was already a fairly casual game, but at least had a cool atmosphere and good story. Infinite is even more casualized and the atmosphere just feels forced (We were underwater the last two games, let's go up into the sky!! hurr). Also, the story was 2deep4u horseshit.
I beat Dead Island Riptide for the third time, it's a terrible game.

I think there is a lack of evolution between the first two bioshock and infinite, and it disappointed me.
But the most important problem about this game is that it's boring, and the script doesn't make you want to continue.

Replaying Resident Evil 4 for the first time in like 8 years because /v/ wouldn't shut up about it the other day. Its fun but the game is definitely showing its age. graphics aren't bad but holy hell those controls at times. it goes from nice and smooth to FUCK WHAT AM I DOING! I'm also in the castle right now, all /v/ was doing was circlejerking to the village part and its been so long that I'm kind of rediscovering this part of the game.
