They don't understand economics or political issues. Trump is nowhere near my first choice but he's better than Sanders. They also believe Bernie can actually make things free by taxing the rich and shrinking the military. Even if he cut the military substantially and rose taxes astronomically we still couldn't afford his plan.

If I could choose I would pick Gary Johnson (Libertarian) > Rand Paul (R) > Jim Webb (D) Jill Stein (Green Party).

Stop wasting money on shit. Republicans are CONSERVATIVE because they CONSERVE their money.
>>
University students are jumping on the bandwagon of his promises for free shit, but he's just there to make Hillary look good/distract attention away from her scandals. Bernie will never release a budget or tax plan with real numbers because his promises are not fiscally viable.

He will simply lose the primary as is currently forecasted, or drop out of the race and endorse Clinton before then.

only by destroying the current system can we usher in the era of the machine-backed utopia

>"If machines produce everything we need, the outcome will depend on how things are distributed. Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. He's going to SAVE us money.

Most of the 18 trillion dollar number comes from expanded Medicare for all money. That looks like a big cost, but it is acually a cost saver. People don't have to pay for their current insurance at all, and instead get single payer subsidized healthcare. This will save individuals several thousand a year.

We are already spending more than 18 trillion on health-care, all Sanders is doing is changing the way it's paid for. And it will be more efficient while also covering everyone.

Flat tax rates have been implemented in multiple countries, some have even repealed it. Under that tax policy many have shown excellent economic growth. Now the only problem I see with this is that many countries were taxing quite a bit.

Democrats give you neetbux to keep you dependent on their system and their vote so you don't even have a chance of amounting to anything in life. Republikeks also have a lot to answer for but are the lesser of the two evils for supporting individual liberty. Anyone who votes based on party affiliation shouldn't even be allowed to vote to begin with but that's beside the point. Dems are like the political leaders in communist governments, they reap in all the rewards of being a higher-up with little to no regard whatsoever for anyone else.

Democrats let spics flood in to get more votes and those spics take up all the low level jobs nobody else wants. The issue is those shitty low level jobs give experience for higher positions and since they're all sitting stagnant by the poor undocumented immigrants it just gets harder and harder to actually find work. Dems have the worst and most submissive foreign policy of the two parties. Dem cities have the most crime rates and crumbling infrastructure. Then you have their intentional destruction of the western world through cultural marxism and the sort but I don't feel like going on about that.

Younger people don't vote in primaries and once the primary season comes on by, you can bet Hillary will pump tons of money on attack ads for Bernie Sanders. If you actually think Bernie Sanders is even going to get the Democratic nomination you're a fool. People would vote for Bernie because he promises them free stuff, and fans the flames of hate the inferior feel towards the superior. It's not yet the time for a Bernie Sanders. Make no mistake, a time will come when a candidate like him will win, it is written in the fabric of Democracy. Once people find out they can vote to take money away from those who have it and to give it to themselves, they will vote to do so. I don't know when it will happen, but it will happen before we die assuming old age.

How is Trump "fucking retarded? for someone so "fucking retarded" he sure does a great job at manipulating the public. Ask yourself, who is winning and has been winning since August? Trump is saving the Republican party. Priort to Trump, what was the main difference in the Republican party and the Democratic party? By making it acceptable to actually differentiate themselves from the left when it comes to social issues like immigration and the racial question, trump is saving the party. Without Trump the Republicans were destined to shift more towards the left as the Overton window slided to the left due to the radicalized youth who will soon grow up to become the next generation of voters.

How is being almost completely identical to the Left going to save the Republican party? As much flak as Romney got for the 47 percent comment he was completely right. Most people will vote for their party regardless of who the candidate is. You should know as well as I that the voter turn out rate hovers around 50%. The goal of the Republican party is to inspire those who would never vote in an election to get out and vote Republican. How can the Republicans hope to stir people into action by being a slightly more conservative Democratic party? Trump is doing a good thing by "radicalizing" the right by taking hard line and not pussy stances on things like immigration and creating a cult of personality around himself that inspires others to support him. There are many choices the Republican party can take as to the direction they can go to radicalize. Perhaps one of libertarianism, or nationalism? But to appeal to "moderates" is a plan that has no chance of succeeding as the Overton window, again, shifts further left due to the SJW generation. As the younger grow up, they will inevitably vote left. And the moderates of that generation will simply be the left of today. That left that thoroughly despise the right of today, even though in practice they are not so different. What hope do the Republicans have as the young grow up and demographic deplacement happens? If they refuse to capitalize on the white majority by appealing to white interests, they will be doomed. Minorities ALWAYS vote Democrat. It's suicide by not focusing on immigration (the legalization of 11 million democrat voters) and other such issues.
>>
>>24488172

You can't claim to know what the majority of the population wants ideologically. To assume that it is in line with what the left believes is ignorant. You can generalize what certain demographic groups may believe (if you can figure out what they believe will be in their best interest) but you can't know what the people want as a whole, because of the silent majority. Again, most people in America are white. It is politically incorrect to acknowledge that race plays a part in politics but it is the truth. If you are going to bank on catering to a group, it should be a group that nobody else caters to, and that would be whites, one that caters to white interests. No kowtowing to blacks, no amnesty, no more immigration. Make America white again.

This of course assumes that people even vote based off of ideology, which is a contentious claim to make. It is entirely possible that the majority of people simply vote based off of the individual candidate's character, and that the policies of the candidate make no real difference in the long run. If this is the case, it is clear what the Republican party must do and that is to elect a "meme" candidate like Trump. Someone with charisma and someone who people want to get out and vote for, not another stodgy politician.

As for the rest of what you said

>Well it sure as shit isn't hurr durr stormfront
This is a classic strawman. We've discovered that you cannot claim to know what the majority of the population wants, because it is too large and too diverse in nature. We then went on to say that we could instead try to surmise the interests of the parts of the whole, that is, a particular demographic of the whole. The biggest demographic of this whole is the racial demographic of whites. Nowhere did I say we would be killing Jews or that sort of thing. We would be acting in the interests of whites on the whole, that is, to preserve the white majority and to stop bestowing special privileges to minorities.

>Opinion polls are for
See below...

>Wallace, Thurmond
We are talking about the Republican party. As I've said before, people will inevitably vote for whomever they usually vote for Republican or Democrat. There is no reason to believe that if these men's values were transplanted in some form unto the Republican party, that the Republicans would not be better off for it.

>Subtle
There is no reason at all for being subtle when you are the majority and do not have to appeal to another minority to become a majority. Again, to say that acting in the interest of a completely unrepresented demographic is "white supremacist" is foolish.

>Why on earth do you think a significant number of white people would agree with that?

Why would the majority not vote to keep themselves in the majority? It is simple, all that needs to be done is to communicate to white people that the moment they lose their majority status, they will be put in a disadvantageous position. People will always vote in their best interests, or what they believe to be in any case.

>>24489377
Opinion polls are always going to subject to a form of survey bias, you are a fool if you think a poll is sufficient to measure the beliefs of EVERYONE in a 300 million something person nation. >you are a fool if you think a poll is sufficient to measure the beliefs of EVERYONE in a 300 million something person nation.
Again, read about statistics, confidence intervals, etc. That's exactly what polls are for. Asking every last person is redundant when you can already make a very good estimate by asking 1000 or so.

>It is incredibly easy to concoct a deceptive poll and deceptive results for political purposes.
That's not the point. Polling organizations want to actually find what people believe. If the results are biased, they fucked up and won't be considered reliable.

Pretty much makes you natsoc, yes. Time to choose between economics policies that likely won't really affect you or social policies that likely won't really affect you.

All I'm hoping for is Trump actually does something with infrastructure.

>Bernie's public talks were interrupted by protestors multiple times; in response he hired them.

Uh, you know it's a bad idea to incentivise that sort of behaviour, right?
>>
>>24490937

I'm praying for a Sanders-Clinton ticket, but it'll probably wind up being a Clinton-Sanders ticket. Feels bad, man. I don't want to vote for Hilary but the GOP lineup is a list of knockoff cartoon villains.

>tfw Hilary is also a cartoonish villain

The Dems are in schism over this. It's an internal battle for the soul of the party, as my mother puts it. Unlike the GOP, we have our conflicts quietly and stay out of the news. It may not look like anything's happening on the surface but it's pretty bad.
>>
>>24490986

Every legitimate protest movement in the country is cooperating under one banner right now. There's no one left to interrupt him except radicals that literally no one takes seriously.

>You can only make further "progress" through legislation at this point through explicitly inegalitarian handouts.
yes, they're inegalitarian
do you have a problem with that?
the evidence indicates that naive egalitarianism does not correlate with economically efficient outcomes
believe in laissez-faire trickle-down crap or believe in keynesian consumption boosting crap but if you genuinely want "good policy based on evidence" and you still use "inegalitarian" as a derogation, you must have some extraordinarily unique views on economic theory
or more likely you have no view on economic theory and you instinctively recoil against people that make you feel bad, like a goddamn animal

meh, wouldn't worry about it too much

I think most people will be willing to settle for Hillary, even if they'd prefer Sanders.

What this thread needs

I posted this in the other thread, but might as well repost it here.

Bernie is an outspoken critic of H1B visa abuse. H1B visas decrease the pay for American tech workers like me because big tech companies can import cheap labor from India and China instead of paying Americans high salaries.

I make $175,000/year. My Indian colleague who is here on an h1b makes $90,000/year. There are more Indian and Chinese H1Bs on my floor than American citizens.

Imagine if my employer couldn't import over half of their workforce from shitty countries? I'd easily be making $250k+.

Eliminating H1B visa abuse would benefit me more than any "muh taxes" conservative bullshit would.

I'm voting for Bernie.

What the fuck are you talking about, inefficient economics? This isn't about "muh fair tax" or something. The variable of interest is gender. What is your perceived economic benefit of financial affirmative action for women that is attributable to basing it on gender?

What you dont believe that a robot managed to land a high paying programming job?

Look at total compensation on the right:
http://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Amazon-com-Software-Development-Engineer-II-Salaries-E6036_D_KO11,43.htm

http://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Microsoft-Software-Development-Engineer-II-Salaries-E1651_D_KO10,42.htm

http://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Facebook-Software-Engineer-Salaries-E40772_D_KO9,26.htm

If you are good at programming you can make a lot of money at a young age.
>>
>>24491771
Sweet. There's even as many French as Americans at my tech job, let alone Indian or Chinese.
>>
>>24491771
What do you do for $175k though? That's high even by SV standards.

I'm in Seattle. I work as a mid-level Software Engineer at one of the companies I linked above. I'm 2.5 years out of college.

If you can pass an interview at Google/Amazon/MSFT/Facebook it's worth doing it for a couple years just for the resume and salary boost.

I was Google for 3 years. I'm under 140k.

But that was long ago, before they even randomly decided to give everyone a 10% raise. Just fuck my shit up.

And I still get to pay CA housing prices instead of Seattle.
>>
>>24492215
140k including RSUs? My number includes RSUs.

Idk man I got lucky or something. I'm not even that smart compared to some of my colleagues.

>>24486170

I, for one, welcome the coming proletariat revolution against agricorp, as well as the following techno-agrarian social revolution.
>>
>>24492245
No, base salary. But my current employer barely has RSUs.

I could get more if I went somewhere else and they matched base salary.

My approach is not generally appreciated in industry though. Accumulation of technical debt is rewarded. Paying it down is not.

He was repeating the position of the CIA and Department of Defense, but keep on memeing memelord.

>Sanders' summary of the position of the CIA and Department of Defense was accurate. They have been warning for years that extreme weather caused by climate change is likely to worsen instability around the world and cause security problems.
>As we wrote in January, the Department of Defense referred to climate change as a "threat multiplier" - because it has the potential to exacerbate many of the challenges we are dealing with today - from infectious disease to terrorism. We are already beginning to see some of these impacts." Those threats are outlined in a report titled "2014 Climate Change Adaptation Roadmap."
