I always listened to taylor swifts music when I was sad.
It helped, but doesn't anymore, because I was always sad the last couple of month and listened to her music non stop.
I am a normalfag. There was a time that I was sad. I miss it because I know it will never happen again. You will think this is bad bait, but it's true. The self-hatred and other feelings back then, two-three years ago, were unique and I nearly don't remember them already. It's having been played a beautiful piece of music only once and slowly forgetting it.

I do not, instead I succumb to it.
Try to get the most out of given feelings and sensations.
Enhance them with music, singing/lamenting, walking or taking a stroll.
Perhaps internal monologues.
Sometimes I draw of write at the time.
