who /swamped, exhausted, and beat by university/?

there is so much fucking work to do in the next few weeks on top of daily chores and transit...
im not cut out for this life
>>

Just wait til you get a real job
>>
It's 6am, I have my biochem exam in a few hours. So sleepy, I wish I was a neet
>>
>>24471093
15,000 word thesis due in 3 weeks, only 1/2 done. Fucking lost it today at my compete inability to not second guess every single thing I do.
>>
By contrast, grad school is full of down time. If you don't learn how to manage it, you spend three years staring into a wall like I did.
>>
>tfw all your profs love you so you're just milking the extension cow
Ahhhhh so nice
>>
>>24471120
real job is actually easier than school

school is pretty much 24/7 if you want to do it right

work is 9-5 and nothing is expected of you outside of those hours in 99.99% of jobs.
>>
>>24471207
Depends on the job.

I've got professional exams that cost about 1600 pounds in total. And I have to study for that in my own time. On top of doing on calls that include nights and weekends.
>>
PLEASE HELP ME
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE
>>
I've given up. There's no way for me to find success in this type of environment even if that's all I want out of life.
>>
Was doing physics/maths, now Im a full time NEET who scams benefits for every cent I can get. No le fucks given
>>
Same. If I had to do a job as well, I wouldn't be able to do this at all. I also only have classes 2x a week, so that's been really helpful. . . schedule wisely.
>>
>>24471829
what's wrong?

>>24471844
don't be stupid. If it's really all you want out of life, then you just have to find a way.

Win Rocky. Win.
>>
>>24471928
The problem is that I'm on the wrong track. I want more than anything to be well educated, but I'm not getting that out of what I'm currently studying.

>Win Rocky. Win.
Rocky still lost in the end (I don't acknowledge the existence of the sequels.)

Unfortunately this as common for salary positions. You are expected to respond to email and do short bursts of work on the weekend if your boss hands you something important.

yes good goy go to my overpriced school and get that useless degree. enjoy your wageslave years after uni working at mcdonalds

same, i'm failing right now too and just failed a couple classes on the first quarter of the year, it honestly got to such a bad point, i had to go on the internet and look at some kindergarten type website that showed me how to do good in calculus using a fucking cat called Pierre
It seemed stupid and kiddy but i had a test afterwards and i aced it 100%.

I swear the only way i can learn in school is by fucking colorful pictures and idiot like explanations
>>
>>24472410
Me too. I start studying an hour before tests despite not having anything else to do on the weekends and knowing full well that's not nearly enough.
And when there's more than one assignment I plan out my work then just get stressed and shut down.

Who else /fell for the college meme/?

It was too late before I realized I was shaping my life goals around a college education, instead of realizing my goals first which may or may not have included college.

Now I'm on my third major after switching twice and just want to be done, I just want to join the Army. I don't even think I'll graduate in four years (started in 2013)

My parents would disown me if I dropped out, I brought up the subject once and I thought my mom was going to have heart failure

In the meanwhile my only outlet is bitching anonymously on r9k because i don't have any friends

To be honest, this is the only reason i'm in college, i just wanna drop out and go NEET, people can talk shit about them all they want but at least NEETs are enjoying their lives

Guys i'm scared. I just finished high school and i'm gonna start my comp science degree in february of the next year. i'm pretty good at math but i'm still extremely scared. Also, i don't know how will i make money because i probably won't have free time at all
>>

>highschool
>good at math

Unless you were competing in Olympiads, you haven't even done any math yet. You may well be 'good' at plug n chug though.
>>
>>24473431
What should i start studying then? i'm open for any tips. Teach me how to math senpai
>>
>>24473431

I did but only managed to get the first few questions desu, the last ones were normally 2hard for me
>>
>>24472410
Same here. And when I feel like I'm failing a class or I got a shitty grade on a test I don't look online to actually check if I'm right because I get too stressed out and just want to not think about it. Basically I'm too retarded to function in society.
>>
>>24473372
>February
You'll have to do gen ed classes first anyways.

>Math
If you're good at math you should be fine
You aren't expected to perform advanced calc on day 1, thats why you have to take the classes.

>Money
IF you 100% commit to doing well, you might as well just take loans. The interest rates are low, and if you do well in school (and network while you're there) you'll get a mid-high paying job and be able to pay them off easily.
>>
>>24471822
wtf why are your exams so heavy?
>>
>>24471093
Same. I have an introduction (one oage) due today, and another assignment. A presentation to prepare for tomorrow and then I need to study for an exam through Wednesday.
I also just got a job and start next week, I already don't do work over the weekend's because I'm exhausted from always spending hour on transit reading participating and thinking about how I'm going to get through exams let alone the semester.
Now i won't even have the time to relax. I want to drop out so badly.
>>
>>24472410

and when i decide to actually look at some shit or try to do my work i tab out and end up here within 10 minutes

>>

I have the exact same problem anons
The only solution that works for me is to take as many classes as possible with a friend.
>ideally an organized person

Try to work with them on everything, and you'll be reminded of assignments/extra credit and naturally develop a better schedule for homework and studying.
>>
>>24473372

make sure you know your precalc. Things like factoring, finding the roots of polynomials, basic stuff about complex numbers, trig identities, exponential and logarithmic functions, multiplicity of polynomial functions, definitions of things like domain and range, etc.

I started math at calc 1 in university and skipped precalc. These are all topics that came up in calc 1-3 and differential equations that I found I didn't have a enough knowledge in because my precalc education came exclusively from high school.
>>
>>24473646

You need to switch your major man. If I don't pass this time around thats what I'm doing. Your motivation for college aligns with what you want to learn. If you can't be assed to do the work you want to learn something else. Don't ever fail 3 times, you stop at the second.

Change your majors everyone, most of you are probably victims of the STEM meme. Remember, college has no age limit, its a place of learning. You can always go back and do STEM on your own time.
