The first one has some pretty nice landscape art at times, but I'll admit it's pretty standard otherwise with some cgi here and there, the plot, the concept and the action is what does it.
If you've seen the latter maybe Canaan is for you, another fairly underrated show with some decent art.

The first episode is very similar. Sadly, Guilty Crown is worse than Code Geass in every respect other than character design. I wouldn't recommend it.
