I know people here think meditation is bullshit, and I understand why, but I really think that walking, night walks in general, are basically a form of it. Nothing soothes and straightens me out like a nice solitary walk.

I used to live in Dallas and I was /nightwalk/ on a fairly regular basis. Usually went through a public park, and the woods behind it (I was a sheltered country boy, even when I literally witnessed crazy hobos and drug deals I didn't fully comprehend that I was this close to getting shanked). Even during the daylight those woods were a little sketchy, this place was smack center of a shit ton of urban-youth housing with my middle-class neighborhood sticking out like a non-sore thumb to the south.
I have no idea how I wasn't killed on a daily basis when I lived in the city.
